Since 1922 Troop 1 has been a staple of developing leadership and outdoor skills for the last century. https://boyscouttroop1champaign.blogspot.com/p/links.html

With 58 Eagle Scouts, and counting, Troop 1 continues to grow into the next century. We meet Mondays, 6:308:30 PM at First United Methodist Church, 210 W Church St., Champaign, IL 61820. When the weather cooperates in the spring and summer, we meet at Indian Acres Swim Club, same time, 1 Arrow Rd., Champaign, IL 61821.

Wonderful Klondike Derby today! Troop 1 didn’t place first, but did get first place in our hearts! Finished every challenge, gave their best, worked together as a team, and learned some lessons for next year.

Special thanks to the Order of the Arrow members from Troop 1 who stepped up and helped man the fires and some of the stations. Just a special group of young men.

And of course, great thanks to Tony and Jared for filling our bellies at lunchtime!

Lock-in 2025! Featuring food (lots of it), friendship, Illini basketball, and another merit badge earned! Special guest appearances by decorated veterans of the armed services, Pete Milinkovic (Marines) and Ben Crane (Army), who were very generous with their time and stories.

Trunk or Treat 2025: S'moresmageddon! Hosted by the First United Methodist Church in beautiful downtown Champaign! Thank you for inviting us back! We loved showing off our S’mores assembling prowess, although we ran out in less than 20 minutes!!! S'moresmageddon indeed! Hence the lack of action shots...

Lastly, Congrats to Charlie M. on being re-elected Lodge Chief. Only the second time in Illini Lodge 55 history that someone has served as chief for two whole terms!
