With 58 Eagle Scouts, and counting, Troop 1 continues to grow into the next century. We meet Mondays, 6:308:30 PM at First United Methodist Church, 210 W Church St., Champaign, IL 61820. When the weather cooperates in the spring and summer, we meet at Indian Acres Swim Club, same time, 1 Arrow Rd., Champaign, IL 61821.

Onward Ogden would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Eagle Scout Nate Hinkel for completing this Eagle Scout project. Check out the new Ogden Welcome Sign on the west side of Ogden. It looks FANTASTIC! 🤩

Congratulations to Prairielands Council's newest Eagle Scout Charlie M. of Troop 1 chartered to the Rotary Club of Champaign. Charlie has served as our Lodge Chief of Illini Lodge #55 for the past 2 years.

Affectionately called Chief Chuck. His service project included installing Bat Boxes at Champaign County Forest Preserve with over 140 hours of service.

Congratulations Chief Chuck! We look forward to your future accomplishments and how you will make this world better!

The 2026 Camp Drake staff reported for duty earlier this week!

They are focused on their training and getting camp ready for campers next Sunday!

Wonderful Klondike Derby today! Troop 1 didn’t place first, but did get first place in our hearts! Finished every challenge, gave their best, worked together as a team, and learned some lessons for next year.

Special thanks to the Order of the Arrow members from Troop 1 who stepped up and helped man the fires and some of the stations. Just a special group of young men.

And of course, great thanks to Tony and Jared for filling our bellies at lunchtime!
