Tomorrow at 2pm, meet your understudies. 🎭

Amanda Broaddus steps into the role of Woman 1 and Caitlin Richardson takes on Woman 2 for our Sunday understudy matinee, and if you think understudies are a consolation prize, you have not seen these two perform.

This is a special performance and a rare opportunity to see two extraordinary artists get their moment in the spotlight. Do not sleep on it.

We had a full house for opening night. 🎉🎭

Songs for a New World opened last night to a full house and the response was everything we could have hoped for. This cast, these dancers, this creative team - they delivered something seriously special and the audience felt every single moment of it.

Introducing Rachel Gladd (she/her), Woman 1 of Songs for a New World!

Rachel enjoys performing when not coordinating the logistical components of events at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Her most recent roles include Heidi in [title of show] (Station Theatre) and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Parkland). She has been singing this show in her car for years and is thrilled to finally bring it to the community. Love to DG. Enjoy the show!

After a decade off the stage raising her kids, April is thrilled to re-debut as Woman 2 in Songs for a New World. She can't think of a better ""first show back!"" When she's not on stage, you can catch her directing her middle and high school choirs at Argenta-Oreana. Go Bombers!

Introducing Addy Rochelle (they/them), Man 1 of Songs for a New World!

Addy is excited to be in their first production with Twin City Theatre Company. They previously played this same role professionally at Thunder Bay Theatre and are beyond ecstatic to return to this beautiful show. Addy would like to thank the wonderful cast, crew, and production team for this experience and dedicates this show to their grandfather Willie T. Summerville, who gave them their love for music and who they feel every time they perform Flying Home.

Introducing Kendall Jeonson (he/they), Director of Songs for a New World!

Kendall Jeonson is thrilled to return to Twin City Theatre Company ten years after stage managing 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress. Recent directing credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (DLO Musical Theatre), Falsettos, and The Minutes (Station Theatre). Next up: Ordinary Days at Station Theatre this summer and Sunday in the Park with George at Parkland Theatre, Spring 2027.
