Kudos to the New Beginnings Outreach Event, in association with Second Chance Sober Living Home on a successful event. You provided services, clothing and you feed many. Job well done!!!

Yesterday we had our monthly meeting and inducted our officers, President Murial Jones, 1st Vice President Leah Hill, Second President Kathy Caston, Membership Michelle Hill, Treasure Sharva Hampton-Campbell, Finicial Secretary LaSonia McBride. To God be the Glory that we have such amazing women in our organization as leadership. Thank you ladies for all you do to keep us motivated to be the best we can be.

Historian and NCNW Illinois State Coalition Chair of Technology, Tammy Gibson, will share her personal journey to Texas, where she explored the history and legacy of Juneteenth firsthand. Through her experiences and research, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of this pivotal moment in American history and its enduring significance in the ongoing pursuit of freedom, justice, and equality.

Thank you to Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune for her passion, vision and leadership. It was very insightful and progressive to create an organization of organizations, designed to bring together entities with shared goals for the uplifting of women and children. We know that no one organization can fulfill the vast needs in our communities. However, through collaboration and working together as a collective, we can accomplish much more. The National Council of Negro Women Inc. Champaign County Section is committed to continuing her vision and mission.
