Let’s be proactive.

Since everyone keeps saying there are so many programs, opportunities, resources, and places for our youth, let’s make sure the information reaches the families and young people who need it.

Please tag the organizations, programs, churches, schools, agencies, and community groups.

Don’t just tag them provide the details:

📌 Program Name
📌 Ages Served
📌 Days & Times
📌 Location
📌 Registration Information
📌 Contact Person
📌 Cost (if any)
📌 Transportation Available?
📌 Start & End Dates
📌 Website or Social Media Page

Let’s also talk about PAID opportunities for youth and young adults.

Please share:

💰 Employer/Organization Name
💰 Hiring Ages
💰 Pay Rate
💰 Application Information
💰 Work Schedule
💰 Start Date
💰 Contact Information

And while we’re at it, let’s identify people, businesses, churches, organizations, and community members willing to help remove barriers for families.

We are looking for:

✅ Camp Sponsors
✅ Scholarship Sponsors
✅ Sports Registration Sponsors
✅ Activity Fee Sponsors
✅ School Supply Sponsors
✅ Transportation Assistance
✅ Gas Cards
✅ Bus Passes
✅ Rides to Programs, Camps, Practices, and Appointments
✅ Mentors and Volunteers
✅ Internship and Job Shadowing Opportunities
✅ Paid Youth Employment Opportunities

If you know of grants, vouchers, scholarships, fee waivers, transportation programs, or emergency assistance resources available to families, please share those as well.

Too often we hear, “There are resources available,” but many families don’t know where to find them, who qualifies, or how to access them. Information only helps when it reaches the people who need it.

Let’s make this post a resource hub for our community.

Drop every legitimate youth program, mentoring program, summer activity, job opportunity, apprenticeship, trade program, scholarship, transportation resource, sponsorship opportunity, support service, and community resource you know of.

One comment. One share. One connection. One sponsor.

That may be the difference between a young person sitting at home and a young person discovering their purpose.

Tag. Share. Inform. Connect. Let’s bridge the gap between resources and the families they’re intended to serve.

Building Futures. Creating Opportunities. Changing Lives.

06/05/2026

At Anointed Youth Shelter & Resources Center, we believe our youth deserve more than events.

They deserve opportunities.

They deserve accountability.

They deserve adults willing to do the work long after the cameras are gone.

Too often we celebrate activity while ignoring outcomes.

A basketball game lasts a few hours.

A back-to-school giveaway lasts a day.

A social media post lasts a moment.

But mentorship changes lives.

Job opportunities change lives.

Conflict resolution changes lives.

Counseling changes lives.

Consistent support changes lives.

The question we should all be asking is simple:

What happens after the event is over?

Who is helping that young person complete a resume?

Who is teaching them life skills?

Who is checking on them when they're struggling?

Who is helping them navigate trauma?

Who is showing them a different path when violence seems like the only option?

At AYSRC, our mission is bigger than hosting events.

We're building relationships.

We're creating opportunities.

We're connecting youth to mentors, education, careers, resources, and hope.

We know real change isn't always glamorous.

It doesn't always get likes, shares, or headlines.

Sometimes it's a phone call.

Sometimes it's a difficult conversation.

Sometimes it's showing up week after week when nobody else does.

That's the work that matters.

That's the work that saves lives.

That's the work we're committed to.

If you're ready to be part of the solution, volunteer.

Partner with us.

Mentor a young person.

Sponsor a program.

Open a door of opportunity.

Together, we can stop talking about change and start creating it.

This summer, I’m not just talking about helping youth. I’ve built an entire vision, structure, and program plan focused on giving youth and at-risk youth a safe, positive, healing, and productive summer.

And I’m doing everything I can to bring it to life.

Anointed Youth Shelter & Resources Center was created to help youth ages 5–25 through mentorship, education, life skills, healing, prevention, leadership, and real community support.

The vision for this summer includes:

• Tutoring & academic support
• Mentorship programs
• Life skills & independent living classes
• Financial literacy & entrepreneurship training
• Job readiness & career development
• Sports & recreation activities
• Basketball, football, volleyball & fitness training
• Arts, dance, music & creative expression
• Mental health & healing support
• Group discussions & leadership development
• Parent & family support programs
• Community outreach & volunteer opportunities
• Hygiene, clothing & resource assistance
• Summer enrichment trips & activities
• Teen nights, youth engagement events & safe spaces
• Violence prevention & positive decision-making programs
• Career exposure, trades & workforce preparation
• Youth empowerment workshops
• Counseling, encouragement & real support

This isn’t just an “idea” to me.
This is purpose.

I see the need every single day.

Too many youth are battling trauma, violence, depression, instability, hopelessness, peer pressure, homelessness, and environments that are failing them. Our youth deserve more than survival mode. They deserve opportunities, structure, guidance, love, consistency, and access to people who truly care.

I already have the plans.
I already have the programs.
I already have the vision.

What we need now is funding, sponsors, donations, community partners, volunteers, mentors, supplies, transportation support, and people willing to stand beside us and help make it happen.

No child should spend the summer feeling forgotten.
No teen should feel like the streets are their only option.
No family should feel like they have to fight alone.

We are trying to build something bigger than programs.
We are trying to build hope, healing, leadership, stability, and futures.

If you’ve ever said:
“Somebody needs to help these kids…”

This is the moment.

If you want to donate, sponsor, partner, volunteer, mentor, provide supplies, meals, activities, or support our summer youth initiatives, please reach out.

Their success tomorrow starts with your support today.

What have YOU done for a youth in your community today?

05/27/2026

I got told, “What you do doesn’t look like you do anything but let them hang out at your house.”

I shook my head and laughed… because in a way, they’re right.

I’m not the traditional nonprofit.
I’m not the polished program with a fancy building yet.
I don’t have a front desk, a huge staff, or a sign-in sheet at the door.

What I DO have is an open heart, open ears, open doors, and real love for people.

My home has become a safe haven for youth and at-risk youth, parents, and families who need somewhere to breathe, eat, sleep, pray, talk, cry, learn, or just feel safe for a moment.

Until God blesses us with a building, I use what I DO have.

I take youth places.
I take them out to eat.
I order food in.
I give rides.
I fund events.
I buy clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and whatever else I can when there’s a need.
I help parents find resources, jobs, mental health support, and guidance.
I listen without judging.
I help without humiliating people.

And no, I don’t always post pictures.

Because my mission was never about using people’s struggles for content.

Some people need help privately.
Some people are already embarrassed to ask.
Some people just need somebody genuine who won’t throw their situation in their face later.

So if my nonprofit doesn’t “look” traditional enough for some people to support, that’s okay.

I’ve been doing this out of my own pocket for YEARS.

Not for clout.
Not for applause.
Not for validation.

Out of love.
Out of purpose.
Out of obedience.

Sometimes I operate through my nonprofit page.
Sometimes I operate through my personal page.
But either way, the mission never changes:

“Help the home, help the youth.”

The funding is coming.
The building is coming.
The expansion is coming.

But until then, I’ll continue doing what needs to be done with what I already have.

Because impact doesn’t always come with a logo on a building.
Sometimes it looks like somebody finally having a safe place to land.

And that matters too.

Also, a special thank you to Walmart stores #2934, #2728, and one of my home stores #3255 for supporting Anointed Youth Shelter & Resources Center this year. Your generosity helps bring this vision to life. Every dollar, every donation, every act of support truly counts.

To everyone who continues to support, encourage, donate, pray, share posts, send resources, or simply believe in the mission… thank you.

This is bigger than me.
This is about the youth.
This is about community.
This is about showing people they are NOT alone.
