The Reed Family Foundation has been with us since the beginning. From our earliest programs to this year's Healing Base Camp, their support has shown up again and again, not as a single gift, but as a sustained commitment to the families we serve.

This summer, they joined us at Healing Base Camp to witness their gifts work in realtime. And in a few weeks, they'll be with us again, sponsoring a table at our Summit for Hope II Gala.

We're grateful for partners who climb with us year after year. Thank you, Reed Family Foundation, for believing in this mission from the start.

Healing Base Camp Austria wouldn't be the same without the generosity of our Kaprun community!

A heartfelt thank you to Kitzsteinhorn , TAUERN SPA , Bründl Sports , and Club Kitzsteinhorn for donating tickets, gear, and treats that gave our families unforgettable moments of joy, connection, and renewal in the mountains.

Your support helps veterans, spouses, and their children heal as individuals and as a family together. Here's just a few moments made possible with your generosity 💛

Five years ago, Mountain Seed Foundation set out to help families affected by conflict heal together, not just individually, but as a whole unit.

On September 19, we're celebrating that milestone at Summit for Hope II, our gala at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

We're proud to share that KVG , Hingham Institution for Savings , Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP , With Honor Action have already reserved tables for the evening. These companies are putting their name behind a mission that supports veterans, former POWs, gold star spouses, military spouses, and their children as they rebuild strength and hope.

Joining us as keynote speaker is Gen. Christopher G. Cavoli, Ret., and we couldn't be more honored to have him help us mark this five-year milestone.

A limited number of tables are still available, along with individual tickets. If your company is looking for a meaningful way to give back this year, this is it. Learn more and reserve your spot at mountainseedfoundation.org/gala

Happy Independence Day Ukraine 🇺🇦

This day carries a different weight recently. Ukraine isn't just marking an important moment in history, it's actively defending its right to exist as a free and sovereign nation. And through the years of fighting for freedom, we've watched the families we work with meet this reality with extraordinary strength.

We hold deep hope for Ukraine's future, for a country whole, free, and flourishing. Today we celebrate the people who make that hope possible.

What a week we had at HBC Austria! 💙

Our 14 families were wonderful and made this week such a joy. We’re so grateful that each of them trusted us and chose to be part of this program.

It’s never easy to wave goodbye as the bus drives away, but we know our paths will cross again. We can’t wait to hear from each family about their lives, their journeys, and all they go on to accomplish.

Week 2 begins tomorrow, and we’re ready to welcome 15 new families and spend the week with them. We can’t wait to see what this week brings!

Board member Tom Wotka joined Healing Base Camp for the first time last year, and at the top of Kitzsteinhorn, he put into words something we think is easy to miss in our photos and videos.

Healing Base Camp isn't just a climbing adventure week. It's a mental health program, and climbing is the tool we use to get there. Every climb is a chance to unlock emotions and build courage, focus, mindfulness, teamwork, and trust, lessons that families carry with them long after they leave the mountains.

How would you feel if we asked you to climb this?

This is the most intimidating climb of the week at Healing Base Camp. Exposed, high, and fear inducing in every sense. It's not by accident that we come here, this is a place that really teaches you something.

When our families finish, it's proof that they can conquer whatever scares them most, and that they don't have to do it alone.

We're headed back to Austria soon. Follow along to be part of the climb, and learn more at mountainseedfoundation.org.

How can climbing help families affected by war?

At Healing Base Camp, we watch the answer play out in real time. Nature is the classroom. Climbing is the challenge that teaches trust, communication, and courage. Group modules based in positive psychology help families turn the lessons from the mountain into reignited resilience.

Healing Base Camp is about what families discover in themselves and in each other along the way. Follow along as we head back to Austria for our next round of HBC!
