The class of 1981 will meet at Scott Cooper's residence Friday October 9th for a fish fry and tailgating (859 Mikels Dr) and on Saturday October 10th at "The Frame" 25340 210th Ave. Centerville IA.

The CHS Class of 1976 will be celebrating 50 years during the Homecoming weekend of Oct. 9, 2026. All the 50th class events take place at the Appanoose Country Club on Friday and Saturday. A class photo will be taken on Saturday evening at 6:15 pm. All 1976 classmates are encouraged to attend the Pep Chapel at the high school and the football game at Lakeview on Friday. During halftime of the football game the 1976 boys track program will be recognized. * On Friday night the Class of 1976 will sponsor a FREE concert by the band STANDING HAMPTON (70s and 80s rock) from 8.30 pm to 12 midnight at the Country Club. (cash bar at Club, no outside alcohol) All CHS alumni, teachers and friends are welcome to attend the free, outdoor musical performance Friday evening. On May 12, CCSF awarded 31 CHS seniors a total of $55,450 in scholarships—the largest number of scholarships and highest amount ever awarded, thanks to our generous donors.

CHS alum and world-renowned opera singer Simon Estes, who joined us to present the Simon & Westella Scholarship, made the evening even more memorable, and received a standing ovation.
It was a wonderful celebration, and we congratulate the Class of 2026 on its many achievements.

Thanks to William Simmons (CHS Class of 1954), CCSF will award an additional $1,000 scholarship next week, the William Simmons Scholarship. We appreciate Bill’s continued support of CHS graduates as they pursue further education. Bill's hallmark is music and protecting the environment.
On May 12, CCSF will award more than $50,000 in scholarships to 31 CHS seniors during the Senior Awards program. These awards are possible because of generous donors, and we’re proud to help connect students with this support.
