Metro North Rotarians traded our usual weekly meeting at Biaggi’s for some social time at Mulligans this afternoon!

We also welcomed two potential new members and brought donations to support HACAP! A great example of how Rotary combines friendship, fellowship, and service to our community.

What if the world came to your dinner table?

Hosting a Rotary foreign exchange student is a powerful way to share your culture, learn about another, and make a lasting difference, all without leaving home.

We're currently looking for host families for next year's exchange student, who will attend Kennedy High School. Hosting is a 3 month commitment, but host families need to be identified soon so plans can be finalized for the school year.

You don't need a perfect home, just a welcoming heart. Host families come in all shapes and sizes, and support is provided every step of the way. Could your family be a home away from home for a student next school year? Contact us to learn more. [email protected]

Yesterday Metro North Rotary officially welcomed our newest member, Jim Atty, Vice President of Sales at Rinderknecht Associates Inc, and presented him with his Rotary badge. We’re glad to have Jim join us and look forward to having him involved in club activities!

We also heard from Joe Lock with an update on the Eastern Iowa Health Center and the important work being done to expand access to care in our community. Thank you, Joe, for the informative presentation and for the work you and your team are doing.

Always a great reminder of the impact happening right here in our community and the value of strong local partnerships.

πŸ”” Announcing the future leadership of Metro North Rotary! πŸ””

In less than a month, Jessica Pleggenkuhle will receive the gavel and begin her year as President of Metro North Rotary, while Madison Kuhl will step into the role of President Elect. 🀝

Both bring valuable professional expertise, strong organizational skills, and a passion for serving our community. Jessica, an Executive Assistant at Bankers Trust Company, has played a key role in planning many of our service projects and social events, creating meaningful opportunities for our members to serve, connect, and build friendships. Madison, a Recruiter at Palmer Group - Cedar Rapids, has served as our Treasurer for the past two years, providing thoughtful financial stewardship and helping ensure our Club remains financially sound and well positioned for the future.
We are excited to see their talents and dedication in action as we begin a new Rotary year and continue making a positive impact throughout our community.

Please help us congratulate Jessica and Madison as they continue to prepare for their new roles! πŸŽ‰πŸ’™πŸ’›
