In HeroClix you can be the hero you’ve dreamed of or the villain of your nightmares. Who knows where Heroclix will take you next! The Cedar Rapids Heroclix group started in 2004. Thery were originally known as the Hawkeye Game Club Heroclix. In summer of 2004, group member John Pauley won the Wizard World Chicago Heroclix Tournament and fellow group member Cory Tailor received honorable mentions /
the sportsmanship award. Later, in fall of 2004 group member Cory Tailor won the Wizard World Texas Heroclix Tournament. In Spring of 2005, Cory Tailor won the Wizard World L.A. In 2005, group members Cory Tailor and Jason Burns where ranked in the top 8 of the country for Heroclix. In 2008, most of the Hawkeye Game Club members where ranked within the top 32 during the North America Championships in Chicago. Cory Tailor ranked 2nd and fellow group member Logan Knight was ranked within the top 8. Later in 2008, members of the Hawkeye Game Club entered in the Herolcix World Championships, which they faced international competition. Group member Chance Kirchhof receved runner up (2nd) within the Championships. Members John Pauley and Cory Tailor were within the top 10. The Cedar Rapids Heroclix group plays every Thursday night from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Sunday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Our current location is at Turtle Power Games Game Room at 4444 1st ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 in Lindale Mall. For those who are beginners or people whom are trying to get back in the game again, we will have Sidekick Nights on Thursday Nights from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (check our local venue for precise times and sign up sheets).

We do play according to the rules of Wizkids Heroclix. Some key terms are:
MODERN AGE - Figures with cards that are from the "ReBirth" Set on Up (Subject can change, look at https://wizkids.com/heroclix/2021/03/23/silver-age-and-2021-rotation/ for more details). SILVER AGE - Silver Age includes all the figures from Superior Foes of Spider-Man and newer. Figures in this format all have the dial printed on the back of the card, and they are the black cards.
