We ❤️ a good parade! Celebrate fall and our nation’s 250th anniversary at the Fall Into Marion Parade sponsored by Farmers State Bank on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m.

This year’s Red, White & Blue theme invites participants to showcase their patriotic spirit with festive floats, decorations and attire. Both Marion and Linn-Mar High School marching bands plan to participate, along with a variety of nonprofits, businesses and community organizations.

Floats are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded. Register by Sept. 4 at www.cityofmarion.org/fallintomarion

🎺🏈 Marching band season is here… which means it’s also FOOTBALL SEASON! 🏈🎺

And football season brings another great fundraising opportunity for Marion Music Boosters — working concessions at Iowa Hawkeye football games!

These shifts are actually a lot of fun AND they’re a huge fundraiser. Last year, Music Boosters and Color Guard raised more than $10,000 through Hawkeye concessions! 🤯

🚨 Right now, we especially need 2 volunteers for next Saturday! We also have several other game dates available, so pick what works for you.

Each shift is about 7 hours, volunteers must be 18+, a meal is provided, and the stand shuts down during the 4th quarter — so you’re out before the game is even over!

🚨🚨 HELP PLEASE!!! FIRST HOME GAME IS FRIDAY! 🚨🚨

We STILL have quite a few spots to fill for Friday night — and we need your help! 🏈🎶

🍿 CONCESSIONS: We have openings throughout the night — windows, pizza, popcorn, chicken strips & mac and cheese, pretzels, runners and more. Never worked concessions before? No worries! We’ll get you acclimated and you can jump right in. And seriously…Friday night concessions are FUN! 🙌

🎺 BAND PARENTS: We still need 5 more pit crew volunteers! You’ll meet at the band room during 2nd quarter and help move pit equipment and podiums to and from the field.

🥘 FOOD DONATIONS: We still have a few of these available too!

💰 And remember — you earn points! Many volunteer opportunities earn $3 per hour toward student music expenses, including the planned Spring 2028 Orlando trip. It’s never too early to start earning!

🚨🎶 **Upcoming Concessions & Volunteer Opportunities!** 🎶🚨

Believe it or not, our **first home football game is NEXT FRIDAY!** 🏈

We have lots of opportunities coming up, including:
🍿 Concessions
🥘 Food donations
🎺 Marching band halftime help
🏐 Volleyball concessions

And remember — many volunteer opportunities earn **Music Booster points (1 hour = $3)** that can be used toward future music trips. Our next planned trip is **Orlando in Spring 2028**, so it’s definitely not too early to start earning!
