🌱 When businesses invest in their communities, the impact reaches far beyond a single day.

A heartfelt thank you to the team from VIP Structures, who spent their Day of Purpose at Stone Quarry Art Park helping with landscaping projects around the park.

Their time, energy, and generosity helped enhance a space that welcomes artists, visitors, and community members year-round.

Days like these are a reminder that meaningful places are sustained by people who choose to care for them.

Thank you to everyone who spent the day planting, volunteering, and giving back. 💚

The Hilltop House library doesn’t follow a single discipline.

Art sits beside ecology. Poetry beside architecture. A book on perception leads to one on landscape, then another on creative practice. The collection rewards curiosity more than efficiency.

🍎 This summer, 2026 Hilltop House Fellow is opening the doors to the Hilltop House library.

Bring a book with you or borrow one from the shelves. Settle in. Let the afternoon stretch a little.

Where the North Country Trail runs through Stone Quarry Art Park, stewardship becomes a shared effort. 🌲⚒

Last week, volunteers from North Country Trail Association helped clear and maintain trails through the North Field and along the pond near the Secret Garden at Stone Quarry Art Park, helping ensure these paths remain accessible for hikers, snowshoers, and visitors throughout the year.

The day was filled with hard work and plenty of trail wisdom:

🥾”Trim as if you won’t be doing maintenance for 3 years.”
❄️”Trim high so that you can snowshoe down the trail on 3 feet of snow.”
💧”Don’t make a trail where the water runs naturally.”

Thank you to the volunteers whose time, knowledge, and dedication help keep these trails welcoming for all who explore them. 🌿

The Hilltop House library is part reading room, part archive, part gallery.

Collected by Dorothy Riester over decades, the shelves reveal a web of influences, interests, and ongoing questions. Some volumes still hold notes in the margins, offering glimpses into the conversations that shaped Dorothy’s artistic life.
