Franklin Design

Where does the Franklin car differ fundamentally in design from the conventional car?

First, the engine is air-cooled.
Second, the entire car is flexibly constructed.
Third, the car weighs less than any other car of equal or greater wheel base.

From 1927 version of "Things to Talk About A Handbook for Franklin Dealers and Salesmen", section '391 Franklin Questions', page 3, Form 235 ADV. Roy Canfield

In 2022 the Franklin Club was donated a 1928 Series 12A Standard Coupe in fairly sad condition having been stored for the best part of 50 years.

It was sold to Dan Hack who wrote this today...

"This is the 1928 12A Standard Coupe that I bought from the club in August 2022. My winters were spent in Arizona, so I only had the summer months here to work on it. After fixing a few electrical issues, I plan on taking it out for the first time next week."

Here's 1 before picture, and 2 after pictures as it was readied for a test drive soon.

Posted by Roger Moffat who sold Dan the car.
