🏠 From Homelessness to Home: A Mother's Journey Back to Her Children

Maria* came to our program facing homelessness and separation from her children. With support from community partners and services that addressed housing, transportation, and other barriers, she now has stable housing and is working toward reunification with her family.

Family Enrichment Network's Guided by Dad program is a free 10-week course designed to support parents, caregivers, and family members in strengthening relationships, building parenting skills, and creating positive outcomes for children and families.

Whether you're a parent, educator, healthcare worker, community member, or simply someone who wants to be prepared to support others, Mental Health First Aid provides practical skills that can make a difference.

These trainings are offered at no cost to New York State residents and are available in both virtual and in-person formats.

🎉 Congratulations to the newest group of Teen Mental Health First Aiders at Canastota High School! 🎉

This training marks the completion of our final Teen Mental Health First Aid class for the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout the year, students across the region have learned how to recognize signs of mental health challenges, support their peers, and connect others to trusted adults and resources.

In addition to building mental health awareness and support skills, students also learn practical first aid techniques. 🚑 As shown in the last two photos, students practiced placing someone in the recovery position—an important skill that can help keep an airway open while waiting for emergency responders during situations such as an overdose or other medical emergency.

Thank you to Canastota High School for partnering with us to bring this important program to students. We look forward to returning to schools this fall and continuing to empower young people with the knowledge and skills to support mental health and well-being. 💚

Summer can be a particularly challenging time for blood collection due to vacations, school breaks, weather disruptions, and busy schedules. That's why every donation matters.

By giving blood, you can help ensure lifesaving blood products are available when patients need them most. ❤️
