Hope's Promise Foster Care, Adoption and Orphan Care HOPE’S PROMISE is a Christian, non-profit child placement agency licensed by the State of Colorado.

We facilitate both domestic and international adoptions. HOPE’S PROMISE was founded in 1990 by Paula Freeman, after she and her husband adopted their daughter, Hope, from India. We have been serving both birth and adoptive families since that time. We accept applications from adoptive families who live throughout the United States and abroad, and provide counseling and support services to birth families who reside throughout Colorado. We began Hope’s Promise Orphan Ministries, our orphan care division, in 2002. We’re serving the fatherless and orphaned worldwide by establishing homes to feed, teach, heal and share Christ’s love.

Twenty years ago, a door opened.

Mama and Pastor Karau didn't start a program. They opened their home — welcoming orphaned children into their family -- raising them as their own sons and daughters. No institutional model. No blueprint. Just a table big enough for one more.

That home became Sanctuary of Hope. And the children it sheltered grew up.

Today, some of those same children — now adults — are the ones reaching back. They're working in our Kuza program in Mathare Valley, walking alongside families, and making sure the door stays open for the next generation.

Join us this month as we celebrate 20 years of Sanctuary of Hope and learn what God has in store next.

Our US Orphan Care team, Hannah and Penny, attended the Christian Alliance For Orphans (CAFO) conference last week.

They were part of a record-breaking 2,500 Christian leaders, foster/adoptive parents, and child welfare professionals from the U.S. and over 50 countries.

It’s a blessing to share and learn from other organizations like ours in foster care, adoption, and global orphan care.
