So you’re a queen… but what does that mean?! 👑
We’d like to take a moment to introduce the representatives of the 2026 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, and what it truly means to be a queen!
Each year, four young ladies are selected through a contest that tests their knowledge, poise, public speaking, professionalism, and horsemanship. This year, our title holders are…
Queen: Taina MacDonald
Queen Attendant: Jorden Price
Princess: Addison Staninger
Princess Attendant: Presleigh Holden
Royalty is a historical part of rodeo. What once used to be a fun contest of what girl could collect the most pennies in a jar has evolved into a program that sets high standards and provides exceptional opportunities for young women. The Douglas County Fair Foundation is proud to offer scholarship funds for our royalty to pursue higher education.
You may see these ambassadors at community events, parades, civic organization meetings, and of course rodeos!
