Heres a longer video of our trip to Letchworth State Park.

We recently had the opportunity to get outside and enjoy some of the beauty that God has placed right here in New York. The Renovation House got to soend a day at Letchworth State Park, soaking in the fresh air, the waterfalls, and the first hints that winter is beginning to loosen its grip on upstate New York.

As the frozen ground begins to thaw and the days slowly grow warmer, it’s a reminder that God designed seasons, not just in creation, but in our lives as well. Just like winter doesn’t last forever, the difficult seasons we walk through don’t either. God is always at work bringing growth and new wondererous things out of our lives.

“Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone. The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air.”
‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We’re grateful for days like this! Time to reflect, enjoy God’s creation, and be reminded that He is always making things new.

So thankful for our time this past Sunday at Ithaca Assembly of God!

We were truly honored to share what God is doing in the lives of a couple of our students and wow… it was such a gift to celebrate His faithfulness together.

We’re also grateful for the the Word shared by Pastor John Earley.

Thank you, Ithaca AOG, for welcoming us so warmly and for loving us so well. We left refreshed, encouraged, and full of joy for what God is doing!

We recently got to take a trip to the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum!

This has become one of our favorite traditions, and we love getting there at least once every year.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a meaningful, educational and fun outing!

For 28 days now, the fire in our outdoor Tabernacle has continued to burn. What many people don’t see is the process behind it. Gathering the wood, cutting it, stacking it and making sure it’s always ready. Keeping a fire burning this long doesn’t happen by accident.

It takes sacrifice. Getting up early. Staying up late. Stepping away from comfort to stoke the fire again and again.

This Tabernacle has become a sacred place for our students and staff. A place to step away from distraction, seek God, pray, and be reminded of why we’re here. And as much as there is a fire burning outside, it points to something deeper: the fire inside us that must also be tended, stirred, and kept alive.

May we be people who don’t just admire the fire, but are willing to tend it, inside and out. 🔥

We want to take a moment to say Thank You to everyone who has given in the last week specifically toward fresh fruit and vegetables for the Renovation House.

A special thank you to our friend Faith Bogdan for helping to make this need known.

During the winter months, fresh produce is often one of the things we lack the most in donations, so this blessing means more than you may realize.
Because of your generosity, the men and women here are able to enjoy nutritious, fresh food that supports not only their physical health, but their overall well being as they pursue restoration through Christ.

Your giving is a tangible expression of care and encouragement. It reminds the men and women that they are seen, valued, and worth investing in. We are truly grateful for a community that steps in where there is need and gives so faithfully.

Thank you for partnering with us and for helping make the Renovation House a place of wholeness, provision, and hope.

Merry Christmas from our Renovation House family to yours!

We are reminded this season that Christ came not only to save, but to dwell with us. He came to lead us into fullness of life, and to make all the broken places in us new. His light continues to guide every step, shaping our hearts, strengthening us to walk in his ways and building us into something beautiful for His glory.

We are thankful for: the men and women who call this ministry their home, for the staff and interns who serve in love and for every supporter and prayer partner who stands with us. Your faithfulness makes this work possible.

From all of us at the Renovation House, we wish you a Christ-filled Christmas and a New Year overflowing with hope and peace. ❤️

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

For you will break the yoke of their slavery
and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders.
You will break the oppressor’s rod,
just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian.

The boots of the warrior
and the uniforms bloodstained by war
will all be burned.
They will be fuel for the fire.

For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.

And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.

His government and its peace will never end…”*

Isaiah 9:2, 4–7 (NLT)

Yesturday was one of those days we’re incredibly thankful for.
The Renovation House got out for an awesome day of sledding, with tons of laughter, enjoying the newly fallen snow, and just being together. Moments like these remind us that joy is a gift from God and fellowship in that joy is part of healing.

“A joyful heart is good medicine.”
- Proverbs 17:22

We are grateful for days like this that build memories, connection, and joy.

“For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder.
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6

Christmas isn’t just celebrated as a season… it’s celebrated because of a moment in history when hope entered the world. When light broke through the darkness. When God came near.

No matter what this year has held; joy, loss, waiting, or weariness. Jesus is still the gift. He is peace for the anxious, comfort for the broken, and hope for every heart searching for more.

We would love for you to join us this Sunday, December 21st at 10:30am as we worship together and celebrate our Savior: Emmanuel, God with us. Plan to hang around after the service as we share in an incredible family meal. We hope to see you then!

Some days it’s just a little too cold to get outside and get work done so we decided to warm up and have some fun instead.

These moments matter just as much as our class times. Learning to enjoy healthy community, building relationships, and just having fun together are all part of the restoration God is doing.
