Wyoming Historical Pioneer Association at Silver Lake, NY The Wyoming Historical Pioneer Association is the longest running historical organization in Wyoming County. The operation & programming is managed by the WHPA.

It was organized in 1872 to commemorate the pioneers of our county & consists of a handful of historical buildings & a museum. gust from 1-4pm. Highlight of each year is the ANNUAL PICNIC on the FIRST Sunday of August. On the property are 4 buildings & 2 structures:
1. LOG CABIN: built in 1878 to commemorate the area's 1st settlers.
2. MUSEUM: built in 1992, houses artifacts dating back to the 17th century.
3. SCHOOLHOUSE: Original Covington District #1 preserved as a rural district school.
4. CHURCH: Circa 1834, restored with items from several local churches.
5. "BIG TREE" STUMP: Reportedly nearly 2,000 yrs old.
6. BANDSTAND/SHELTER: Serves as a stage for programs.
