ART321 is seeking artwork inspired by the bold, colorful, analog world of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s for our August exhibit, Press Play: A Rewind Through Time.

Before smartphones and streaming, there were scratched VHS tapes, mixtapes recorded off the radio, glowing arcade screens, Trapper Keepers, sticker collections, and Saturday morning cartoons. This exhibit celebrates the nostalgia, aesthetics, pop culture, toys, trends, and technology that defined a generation.

We’re looking for artwork that explores or reimagines the cultural artifacts and visual language of the pre-digital era - whether through sincerity, humor, irony, memory, or pure neon chaos.

Think:

VHS tapes & cassette players
Roller rinks & arcades
Lisa Frank aesthetics
Saturday morning cartoons
Landlines & floppy disks
Retro gaming culture
Polaroids & disposable cameras
Toys, collectibles & childhood nostalgia
Mixtapes, Walkmans & boom boxes
Pop culture moments from the 70s, 80s & 90s
Whether you lived through these decades or are inspired by them secondhand, we invite artists to hit rewind and revisit a world that still feels vivid, vibrant, and unforgettable.

All mediums welcome!

ART321 is seeking artwork inspired by mushrooms, fungi, and mycelium for our July exhibit, Underneath It All.

We’re looking for work that celebrates the form, texture, color, and fascinating biology of fungi - from forest-floor toadstools to intricate spore patterns and underground mycelium networks.

This show is part of our 2026 season theme, Metamorphosis, highlighting natural processes of growth and transformation - but submissions should focus directly on mushrooms and fungi as subject matter.

Think realistic mushroom studies, botanical illustration, sculptural fungi, spore prints, forest ecosystems, close-up photography, ceramic, fiber, or mixed media interpretations.

All mediums welcome!
