Since its founding on December 4, 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has supplied voice and vision to the struggle of African-Americans and people of color around the world. The Fraternity initially served as a study and support group for minority students who faced racial prejudice, both educationally and socially, at Cornell. The Jewel founders and early leaders of the Fraternity succeeded i

n laying a firm foundation for Alpha Phi Alpha’s principles of scholarship, fellowship, good character, and the uplifting of humanity. At the General Convention in Kansas City, the National Body approved our application and on July 21, 2008, we became the Rho Pi Lambda Chapter, seated in Carrollton, Georgia.

Brotherhood in Service. Partnership in Action.

On August 29, 2026, the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated® — Rho Pi Lambda Chapter were proud to stand alongside and support the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® at the Georgia International Convention Center for “AKA and Cuts / Cold Conversation.”

This collaboration created a safe and engaging space for Black men to have honest conversations about mental health, physical wellness, vulnerability, and the issues we sometimes carry in silence.

The Brothers of Rho Pi Lambda showed up in support of our Divine Nine sisters and an important mission: strengthening the health and wellness of the men in our communities.

When organizations come together with a shared purpose, our entire community benefits.

That is Brotherhood. That is Service. That is Community.

Brothers welcomed our incoming Phirst Pharaoh’s Academy cohort this past Sunday. The parents and mentees had the opportunity to meet the mentors and Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc - Rho Pi Lambda Chapter.
We’re excited for another year of mentorship, leadership, and developing our next generation of young men. The work continues! Onward and Upward as always 🤙🏽

Last night, our chapter co-hosted a “Meet and Greet The Candidates” with candidates who are running for office in Douglas County.
This “Meet and Greet The Candidates” gave the men and women of Douglasville a forum to truly get to know who is running for office in their counties and districts.

Thank you to all the brothers who helped bring this event to life.
