An information source for UWG's organization for diverse genders & sexualities. We meet every Thursday at 6pm in Pafford 204!

Q***r Student Alliance (QSA) is the University of West Georgia's LGBTQ student organization. We advocate for q***r students on campus, educate the university population about LGBTQ issues, and provide safe space for members. We intend to make UWG a welcoming, supportive environment for everyone associated with the q***r community, including those of us who are trans, non-binary, asexual, intersex, pansexual, allies, questioning, bisexual, le***an, gay, and more.

QSA will be having our annual Halloween Potluck-Party tomorrow evening!

Wednesday (10/29), Humanities 152, 6PM

If you are going to attend, it would be greatly appreciated if you plan to contribute a small entree, snack, or drink to the potluck. Prepackaged items are 100% okay and encouraged. If you plan to make something from scratch, please provide a list of allergens! I know for a fact we have (pea)nut, soy, and cinnamon allergies in club membership.

Jackbox was a huge hit last year, so join us again for another round! Costumes are GREATLY ENCOURAGED!

The Q***r Student Alliance is hosting Thrift Night & Clothing Swap on Wednesday, September 24 from 6–8 PM in Humanities 152. This event is open to all students and you don’t need to be a QSA member to participate. ❤️💙

Students are encouraged to bring any unwanted items including:

- Clothing (Feminine styles/accessories are in particularly high demand!)
- Shoes, bags, jewelry, and accessories
- Books and household goods
- Other gently used, clean items

If you can’t drop donations off in the QSA lounge (Row Hall East, Room 202) beforehand, feel free to bring them directly to the event.

Guidelines:

- No deteriorating, soiled, or unusable items
- No underwear or socks (exceptions: bras or unopened packs)
- All items should be suitable for a general audience
- After the swap, any leftover items will remain in the QSA lounge donation bin for the community.

Come thrift, swap, and connect with friends while supporting sustainable reuse! 🌈🐺

Hey yall!

Celebrating a historical tradition of former q***r faculty and alumni, we will be hosting a QSA history night and potluck. If you plan on attending, please bring a small dish, snack, or drink. This is our last major meeting of the semester, and a sendoff to the academic year.

Results for the election will also be announced.

Howdy!

QSA elections are right around the corner, infact they start this Wednesday on April the 16th! Our meeting for the 16th is going to be election speeches from our many candidates running for the five officer positions.

That being said, if you want to run but haven't yet contacted us yet, please do! Your cutoff is the 16th. If you want to be President, Vice President, Social Media Manager, Secretary, or Treasurer, don't wait! DM an officer in the discord!

Elections will run through till the 23rd, which is also our History Night Potluck! Winners should be announced by end of meeting the 23rd.

On April 10th, will be our annual Drag Show! Come and see some really talented queens preform!

If you've never been to a Drag Show, our meeting the day before on April 9th will go over proper etiquette and what to expect, so don't worry! We'll make sure you can have lots of fun!
