We currently have a strong membership of business and professional leaders from the community who have become involved in committee and leadership roles.

We look to channel that energy and enthusiasm into productive service to our club and community. Established in 1997, Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary is part of Rotary District 6900, one of the largest Rotary districts in the world. With over 60 members, Dawnbreakers supports many projects in our community, including Toys for Tots, Carroll County R**e Crisis Center, Tanner ReadER program and other literacy programs, Special Olympics and local law enforcement organizations. The club’s signature fundraiser, Casino Night, raises over $20,000 each year. Casino Night 2014 is right around the corner: February 15th at Sunset Hills. For tickets, sponsorship or donation information, call 770.328.8400. Besides serving our community, we enjoy fun and fellowship, such as dine-outs at local restaurants and community activities, and families are welcome at most Rotary events.

For the past 10 years, Bo and his two daughters have turned ordinary hay bales into incredible seasonal works of art. This year's creation is especially fun, paying tribute to Michael Jackson's iconic Thriller!

One of the things we love about Rotary is having members who bring their own talents, creativity, and passion to our community in so many different ways. Bo's family tradition is a great example of how something simple can turn into something that brings smiles, creates memories, and gives our community something fun to enjoy.

We're proud to have Bo as part of our Rotary family!

This week, we welcomed Jim from Crossbeam to share how they’re expanding reliable, high-speed fiber internet throughout West Georgia!

In partnership with Carroll EMC, Crossbeam is working to close the digital divide by bringing broadband to underserved rural communities. What makes their approach especially unique? They’ve lowered prices twice, increased internet speeds, and prioritize treating every customer fairly rather than relying on temporary introductory deals.

With more than 5,000 residential customers already served and continued expansion underway, Crossbeam is helping connect our communities and support West Georgia’s growth!

Thank you, Jim, for sharing your work and vision with us! 💙

💼 Rotary Recap: The Stone Center & Family Business

Yesterday, our Rotary members learned about SMI’s multi-generational success and the Stone Center at the University of West Georgia.

Family businesses play a huge role in our economy, but only about 30% successfully transition to the second generation. The Stone Center helps local family businesses navigate succession planning, wealth transfer, and long-term success through education and professional resources.

Thank you to Stone family for sharing their insights and highlighting this valuable resource for our community!
