CARPINTERIA, CA – November 20, 2025 – The Carpinteria Education Foundation (CEF) announced a supplemental grant of $20,000 dedicated exclusively to enrichment experiences for students across all four local school sites. This contribution is a strategic effort to provide principals with discretionary funds for unique, high-impact activities that go beyond the standard curriculum. The $20,000 donation is allocated equally between Aliso/Summerland, Canalino/Carpinteria Family School, Carpinteria Middle School, and Carpinteria High School, ensuring every student has the opportunity for enhanced learning. These funds are designated for use at the principals’ discretion for additional enrichment activities such as unique field trips, engaging assemblies, and guest speakers that augment the required curriculum-based experiences. Notably, this $20,000 is an additional investment this school year, underscoring the success and dedication of the Foundation’s supporters. CEF has already raised and allocated over $200,000 to support curriculum-based field trips, afterschool tutoring, and other requested resources throughout the district this year, making this $20,000 grant a testament to the powerful impact of community philanthropy. “We are excited to be able to provide this investment in our local students,” said Pam Werner, Executive Director. “Our principals know their students best, and these flexible funds will allow them to implement special assemblies or field trips that spark curiosity and deepen learning that their students otherwise would not experience. To be able to allocate over $220,000 this year shows how dedicated our community is to giving every student an extraordinary educational experience.” The Carpinteria Education Foundation is committed to providing resources that ensure Carpinteria Unified School District students have access to the highest quality educational opportunities.
