Fond Memories of Rob Max
October 20, 2017
With great sadness we acknowledge the death of Rob Max. Rob was the newest officer of Love & Service, recently elected to serve in the capacity of Secretary.
Rob died unexpectedly in mid-September at the young age of 53. Fully committed to his loves of charity, service, and music, Rob was the Executive Director of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. I recall that he most enjoyed spending his days speaking with musicians fighting cancer – he didn't say he had to do it, but that he had the privilege and honor of doing it.
Even prior to his election as Secretary of Love & Service, Rob was a friend of our charity and its cause to further the life experiences of autistic children. Tyler Marolf, co-founder of Love & Service and founder and co-owner of Los Rios Rock School, said “We lost a friend and a brother. His love for music and people is without parallel.”
Remembrances for Rob are best in the form of contributions to charity. Please consider Love & Service (http://loveandserviceinc.org), Sweet Relief Musicians Fund www.sweetrelief.org, and the newly formed Rob Max Memorial Fund for Elder Musicians (http://sweetrelief.org/program/rob-max-memorial-fund-elder-musicians/) in your giving plans.
With Love to Rob and His Family,
Krista F. Norstog Leonard, President of Love & Service Inc.
