The Carol Stream Public Library has been helping residents create, search, play and learn for over 50 years. Preschoolers enjoy our story times, play area filled with toys, and digital storybooks. School-aged kids love our science experiments, library games, and visiting performers. Teens have a place to study, share their interests, and volunteer. We can help adults learn English as a second lang

What would the summer be without a few "shelter in place" scares?! If you've never been at the library when a storm hits, lucky you! This is what we have to do to protect our patrons. Thanks to those that were pleasant about getting close to others until the threat passed.

The library is currently in the process of upgrading all of the patron PCs to Windows 11. They units themselves will have larger monitors for easier visibility and the ability to raise and lower the monitor to help prevent neck strain.

At our Book Club's annual summer party, we played a spider web game finding unexpected connections-- from a shared love of snorkeling to recent genealogy research discoveries, our group had a great time bonding beyond the books! Of course, bringing it back to our true passion 📚 we did share some titles we have enjoyed in and outside of book club so far this year as well 😊
