Community partnerships help us meet our neighbors where they are—and this recent mobile pantry in Bensenville was a wonderful example of that work in action!

While the Consulate General of Guatemala provided essential consular services, including passports, birth certificates, and civil registration, Neighborhood Food Pantries was there to provide nutritious food and connect families with additional community resources.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Bensenville community library, the Consulate General of Guatemala, and all the community and government organizations that helped make this event possible. Your partnership and support made a meaningful difference for local families.

A special thank-you to our Operations Supervisor, Axel, for organizing the event, and to Terese, Liz, Carla and our board member Dr. David DeRamos for the hard work and care they put into making it a success.

We’re also grateful for our Executive Director, Laura Beard, whose hands-on leadership was on full display. Laura doesn’t simply lead from the top—she works alongside her staff to help turn great ideas into impactful events for our community.

More events like this are coming! We look forward to continuing to bring food, resources, and support directly to the communities we serve.

FNBC continues to show what community partnership looks like through its generous support of Neighborhood Food Pantries and its commitment to our neighbors. We’re especially grateful for Steve Beles—pictured here—who not only serves the community through FNBC but also generously shares his time and leadership as a member of NFP’s Board of Directors.

📣We’re hiring!📣 Neighborhood Food Pantries is seeking a dependable and community-minded Food Recovery Driver to join our team.

This part-time position plays an important role in picking up and delivering donated food, transporting items between our pantry locations, and supporting Mobile Pantry events. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, strong communication skills, and experience safely operating vehicles and loading equipment.

This position is approximately 20 hours per week.
