Monday night was our Installation Pot Luck Dinner. We installed two new members & one officer. We also had 2 guests from our chosen Charity for the year (the Diaper Pantry at Peters Creek Baptist Church). We were able to present them with a check for $1,610, as well as diapers, wipes, etc that everyone brought as donations that evening. Enjoyed great food and fellowship with everyone. Also, beautiful pansies were given away as door prizes. Thank you to Joyce & Ginny & your group of hostesses for doing a great job!

On Monday, we will have a speaker from the Heinz History Center. The topic will be First Ladies of Western Pennsylvania. Did you know that many ladies from Western PA were the first in their field? Join us on Monday at 7:15 pm to learn more about these extraordinary local women.

Last night was our White Elephant Gift Exchange...but for the twist...everyone was given an envelope with $70 (play money, of course) and we had an auction where everyone was bidding on a gift, sight unseen. There were nice gifts, funny gifts, and those gifts they wished they hadn't bid on...lol All in all, it was a lot of fun! Then we all enjoyed refreshments & fellowship afterwards.

The much awaited White Elephant Gift Game will be held at our next meeting. March 9th.
Bring a gift wrapped or in a gift bag. It can be something around the house, or a gift you want to "regift". It can be something funny, bizarre, or useful.

As always, there will be a twist to this game!

Based on members votes, our charity for this year is:
THE DIAPER PANTRY AT PETER’S CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH
The Diaper pantry assists approximately 100 families with young children and the elderly who are experiencing diaper insecurity. Upon availability they provide wipes, blankets and other soft goods.

We will be collecting monetary donations at our next two meetings, or you can mail a donation to Karen Gregory.
