Pittsburgh’s Phipps Conservatory welcomes the US non-profit organization, Partnerships for Nature, to present arranged an online program to show and describe the work of Ukraine's botanical gardens to enhance nature education and healing. Work that has been even more important during the full-scale Russian invasion, as nature healing programs have been implemented at gardens in major cities across Ukraine and are serving Ukraine's vulnerable populations -- displaced families, children, the elderly, veterans, people with disabilities -- along with the many who have simply experienced extreme personal loss. Partners and programs are described on their website and in most recent newsletter.

Phipps and Partnerships for Nature invite the Pittsburgh Ukrainian community to learn about this important rehabilitative work. The online event will take place on January 21, 2026 at 1 PM Eastern time.

Pain, fear, anxiety, hatred of an unprovoked war of aggression attaching civilians, infrastructure, and dedicated to eradicating a culture and people.

This is every day life in Ukraine.

This is how the war is affecting real people and how dedicated caregivers are helping to counteract this nefariousness and disinformation that blames the victim and robs people if their dignity, their safety, their childhood, their lives.
