CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER, HAYDEN MC NEW (SEE PHOTO), OF THE CARLISLE AREA HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY FATHER'S DAY GIFT BASKET. THERE WAS ALSO A SECOND PLACE DRAWING FOR A TROEGS' BAG WITH A GIFT CERTIFICATE FOR THEIR RESTAURANT AND A PASS FOR TWO TO TOUR THE TROEGS' BREWERY ALONG WITH SOME OTHER ITEMS FROM TROEGS. THAT WINNER WAS JAMES R. THE AUXILIARY MADE $703.00 FROM THE SALE OF THE RAFFLE TICKETS.

The Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary proudly present our 2026 Scholarship Recipients. These students have worked very hard to enter their field of healthcare studies and we hope to support their goals. Three students will be studying nursing and two will be working towards being a Physician Assistant. Our best wishes to our recipients.

Coming on Thursday, June 18, 2026 to the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Cafeteria in South Middletown Township, Nothing Bundt Cakes. Once again, Nothing Bundt Cakes will give the Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary 20% of the proceeds. We will continue to sell raffle tickets for our Father's Day Basket and the drawing will be at noon on Thursday, June 18, 2026. You may purchase raffle tickets Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Gift Shop up to the time before the drawing on the 18th. Then on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 11 am to 1:30 pm, Kona Ice, just in time for summer, will be parked near the Main Entrance (Entrance A) of the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. Kona Ice will also be giving 30% percent of their proceeds to the Auxiliary. We hope to see you at these events.

The Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary is sponsoring a Father's Day Gift Basket. The drawing will be at noon on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The value of the gift basket is over $1600. Raffle tickets can be purchase at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Gift Shop (in South Middleton Township) Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Ticket prices are 1 for $2.00, 3 for $5.00, and 10 for $10. All proceeds go towards all of the programs that the Auxiliary sponsors such as Medical Related Scholarships, the UPMC Women's Center, the Walking Trail around the UPMC Carlisle Hospital, and many other health related programs.

ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, 2026 (ONE DAY ONLY), YOU CAN DROP OFF YOUR USED AND NEW CLOTHING AND SHOES ONLY, IN THE PARKING LOT NEAREST ALEXANDER SPRING ROAD ACROSS FROM THE EMERGENCY ROOM ENTRANCE TO THE UPMC CARLISLE HOSPITAL FROM 6:30 AM TO 8:00 AM AND 12:30 PM TO 2:00 PM. JUST LOOK FOR THE SIGNS AND THE CARS THAT ARE COLLECTING THE ITEMS. IF IT IS MORE CONVENIENT, YOU CAN DROP YOUR DONATIONS OFF AT THE UPMC CARLISLE HOSPITAL (VISITOR’S ENTRANCE) BETWEEN 9:00 AM AND 2:00 PM. MEMBERS OF THE CARLISLE AREA HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY WILL DONATE YOUR CLOTHING/SHOE ITEMS TO COMMUNITY AID IN MECHANCISBURG. THESE DONATIONS BENEFIT THE CARLISLE AREA HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY’S PROGRAMS THAT THEY SUPPORT.

Due this week on Wednesday, April15, 2026. Must be turned in to the UPMC Carlisle Hospital located at 361 Alexander Spring Road, Carlisle, PA in South Middleton Township. Do not miss out on a chance to receive a medical related scholarship from the Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary. The completed application can be returned to the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Gift Shop Monday - Wednesday of this week between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.

The Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary is currently taking orders for Mother's Day Plants. You can either pick up an order form in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Gift Shop located in South Middleton Township on Alexander Spring Road, Carlisle or print out one from this post and return it with payment no later than 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Orders will be available for pick up (if you are not an employee) on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 11:30 am to 1 pm. As always, proceeds from this fundraiser benefits Medical related Scholarships, the UPMC Women's Center, the Walking Trail around the hospital, and so many more health related programs.

A LAST MINUTE REMINDER - AUNTIE ANNE'S PRETZEL TRUCK WILL BE AT THE UPMC CARLISLE HOSPITAL WOMEN'S CENTER PARKING LOT IN SOUTH MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP, TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2026 FROM 10:30 AM TO 1:30 PM. THEN ON THURSDAY (JUST IN TIME FOR EASTER), APRIL 1, 2026 FROM 11:00 AM TO 2:00 PM (OR UNTIL SOLD OUT) NOTHING BUNDT CAKES WILL BE IN THE HOSPITAL CAFETERIA. IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO COMPLETE A SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FROM THE CARLISLE AREA HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY. THOSE INTERESTED HAVE UNTIL WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 2026 TO RETURN COMPLETED APPLICATIONS. In case you missed our clothing drive in January, the Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary is once again collecting good used clean CLOTHING AND SHOES ONLY the week of March 9, 2026 to March 13, 2026 at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital located at 361 Alexander Spring Road in South Middleton Township. These items can be dropped off at the Visitor Entrance Lobby. NO OTHER ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Auxiliary will take the items to Community Aid in Mechanicsburg. In return, Community Aid pays us for the donations. The money received goes towards all of the health related programs that are supported by the Auxiliary such as medical related scholarships and the Women's Center. This is the second one for the year and now is a good time to start cleaning out closets and dresser drawers for the upcoming Spring Cleaning projects that you may have. There will be more dates in the future, so keep an eye out for those dates too. We hope that you can help us with this worthy project. If you cannot participate at this time, anyone can drop off items at Community Aid themselves, just give them our partner number of 10149, and the Auxiliary will receive credit for your donation. Thank you for your consideration.

Additionally, Auntie Anne's Food Truck will be at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital Women's Center parking lot on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Auntie Ann's will donate 15% of their sales to the Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary and like all other fundraisers, donations are used to help all of the health related programs that the Auxiliary supports.
