A professional group of like-minded young people striving towards learning, networking, and civic community involvement.

Carlisle Young Professionals is a non-profit organization providing outlets for social engagement, community service and leadership development to young professionals who live, work and socialize in the Carlisle area. Our members come from a variety of professions and backgrounds. Some have always lived in the area; others have recently moved here from across the country or abroad. What unites us

is our connection to Carlisle and our desire to contribute to the community in a lasting and meaningful way. CYP’s Mission:
Carlisle Young Professionals (CYP) provides opportunities for social engagement, community service, networking, and leadership development to young professionals in the Carlisle area. CYP develops its members to be leaders in their careers and the community and fosters beneficial and lasting relationships. CYP’s Vision:
CYP seeks to make Carlisle a destination for young professionals to live, work, and socialize.

CYP Members enjoyed meeting Gingersnap the Mermaid at Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard in Carlisle! If you haven't been there, Rita's offers great delicious frozen ice and custard, plenty of outdoor seating, and friendly staff! What a great evening!! Special thank you to the owner of Rita's for her generosity! CYP looks forward to going back next summer!!

CYP Members and guests had an action packed Final-Friday Mixer at Castlerigg Wine Shop last Friday. Great wine, good conversation, and lots of new smiling faces. A night at Castlerigg is not complete without a toast with some "Black Tie" sparkling wine! Thank you to the staff for another fun and relaxed evening - you're the best!

Couldn't attend? ..CYP's next event is their Mid-Month Mixer at The Green Door - Central PA Swing Dance Club from 6-8pm on July 20th! CYP Members will be trying something new - swing dancing! Don't be shy! We'll get instructions on some basic moves to begin the evening. The final hour or so, we'll try out our moves. Go to CYP's FB info area for more information.

CYP Members have a very busy week to start off their July! Two great events this week..

On Wednesday (6/5) from 6-7, come out to Meet the Mermaid (at Rita's Italian Ice)! CYP Members get a free ice! Our very own Gingersnap the Mermaid will make sure you have a fin-tastic time!

On Saturday (6/8) from 3-8, join CYP Members at CYP Attends Bluegrass on the Grass Music Festival and listen to nationally known bands playing tradition and contemporary bluegrass tunes on the Dickinson College quad area. This festival draws thousands of music fans and folks just looking for a relaxing Saturday! CYP will have up a tent and a cooler. Feel free to BYOB something you prefer and a lawn chair.

THE LAST CHANCE to register for the Summer Co****le League is 6/28. This league will take place every Wednesday on the patio at Midway Bowl starting 7/19! Use the following link for details and registration:

Details: 8-week league w/ 2 weeks of playoffs. 2-4 players per team (each player registers individually). Games are best of 5. Everyone gets a T-shirt. $200 of gift cards for the league winners! NEW: We may split into two leagues: a “competitive league” and “fun league.” These leagues would both be on the same evening. A vote will take place at the kick-off.

Do not miss out! Come make some new friends and memories this summer on the patio at Midway Bowl starting July 19th with the Summer Co****le Sports League Kick-off at Midway Bowl !

CYP Members and guests had an action packed Mid-Month Mixer at Back Porch Brewing Inc . The evening started with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of the brew pub! Owners Rod and Tim gave an exclusive tour of the beer making process later in the evening. During the entire event, CYP Members and guests enjoyed great networking and amazing beers made right there! If you haven't been there yet, give them a try! Regular live music, great food, and friendly staff! What a great evening!!

The Summer Co****le Sports League will be held every Wednesday on the patio at Midway Bowl beginning with the league kick-off party on July 19th! Registration ends June 28th. Last week was the Championship Night for CYP's Spring Pickleball League! Congratulations to Pickle Ticklers for defeating The Fantastic 4 to win the league! Congratulations to all teams for a great season - we'll see you next year!! CYP Board Members had a great monthly board meeting at Hook and Flask Still Works . It probably goes without saying... we stayed for a post meeting libation with our friend Mark Farrell !

This was a very productive meeting so CYP Members can expect a very exciting July!

CYP Members thoroughly enjoyed the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Back Porch Brewing Inc yesterday. Great to see a large turnout of CYP Members and Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce Members as we welcomed a new brew pub to Carlisle!

CYP Members had a busy Saturday with two great events happening in downtown Carlisle! CYP Members provided support at both events (PRIDE Proclamation and The 160th Shelling of Carlisle) and enjoyed attending both! We're reminded how blessed we are to live in such an accepting and historical community! We enjoy giving back when we can!! Thank you to all CYP Members that came out to both events!
