We're a fun bunch of volunteers dedicated to providing SERvice TO MAnkind in Carlisle area!

10/30/2026

It was a busy and fun week at the Carlisle Area School District elementary school trunk for treat Events! We were able to attend all seven of them!

Thank you to Bob F, Barb, Kathy, Maureen, Kristi and all of our Sue’s (Spear, Spraglin, & Bower!)for handing out candy, crayons, and our special coloring books on Fire Safety for all.

Here are a few of our pictures! The highlight for Maureen was meeting a young kindergarten girl who had a Cochlear implant that was blinged out with a flashing light! It went perfect with her unicorn outfit! Her mom was very impressed that we included a boy with a hearing aid in our coloring book and was excited to learn that we have the fire alarms with bed shakers. She is hoping to reach out to the club soon!
This is why we do what we do! 🙌💗

We held our annual awards dinner Wednesday evening. Congratulations to Barb Stallsmith for being our Sertoman of the Year! She is so deserving for all she does!

Terry Orendi, founder of Bountiful Blessings and Heavenly Haulers, was our Service to Mankind winner. Her strong Christian faith has carried her across the state, following her mission to support churches and communities. They provide help, hope and support to families of all faiths by providing non-food items in exchange for mandatory volunteer time.
Thank you to our volunteers on the awards committee and the food committee for an amazing event.

Human trafficking can look different in every community, which is why education and awareness are so important.

Recently, our team had the opportunity to discuss with the Carlisle Area Sertoma club about human trafficking in Cumberland County, the services we provide to survivors, and the unique challenges of addressing trafficking in our community.

Education is a key part of prevention. We regularly provide trainings and educational opportunities for organizations, community groups, social clubs, and others on topics ranging from bystander intervention and digital safety to mandated reporting and human trafficking.

If your organization is looking for an opportunity to learn more and build the knowledge needed to help keep our community safe, we’re here to help.

The week long camp is FREE and includes a baseball game with Harrisburg Senators!
