The steel has been erected and the Alumni Hall is taking shape. Next up to get the walls framed and the roofing on...to be waterproofed before Winter weather arrives! One of the most prevailing questions we get asked is "What happened to the class plaques?" They are currently in storage after being removed from the old Root Hall and will be a prominent feature in the new Alumni Hall and Park currently under construction on Carlisle Barracks! There are a limited number of bricks from the old Root Hall available. The building is completely down (along with Bliss Hall) and being returned to green space for now. Your donation to the Alumni Hall & Park which is currently under construction provides an opportunity to receive a brick if Root Hall holds some special memories for you. https://donate.usawc.org/alumni-hall-and-park/

If the old Root Hall has a special place in your memories, the Foundation managed to recover a limited number of bricks from the demolition. We had our vendor add a metal plate and a felt bottom to this commemorative brick. For a minimum $100 donation to the Army War College Foundation's Alumni Hall & Park campaign, you can have one of these bricks mailed to you. Demolition continues on old Root Hall. Half of the building is down. 5-18-26

Demolition work is underway at Root Hall! This area will become green space. The class plaques and stained glass gifts that were in Bliss and outside Root Hall are in storage until the U.S. Army War College Alumni Hall and Park is ready.
