💙 SADI's Weeks of Giving – October Recap! 💙

October may be behind us, but we wanted to take a moment to share some of the ways we were able to give back to our community throughout the month!

October is especially meaningful to us at SADI because it is the birthday month of our founder, Miki. In her honor, we have made it a tradition to spend this month giving back, supporting others, and finding ways to make a difference in our community.

This year, we celebrated Miki's birthday by hosting our Annual Founder's Day on her birthday and continuing our Weeks of Giving through several community initiatives.

Here's a little of what we were able to accomplish:
💙 Hosted our Annual Founder's Day celebration in honor of Miki.
💙 Held our Mobile Food Bank to help provide food to individuals and families in our community.
💙 Donated items to ACCESS, a ministry serving teens and adults with special needs.
💙 Donated items to SEMO-NASV to support their work in our community.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to give back and for the generosity, support, and teamwork that make these efforts possible.

Miki's vision was rooted in helping others live more independent and fulfilling lives. We are honored to continue carrying that vision forward, not just in October, but throughout the entire year.

A little kindness can make a big difference. Thank you to everyone who helped make October a month of giving!

Today, we said goodbye to a very special member of the SADI family.

After nearly 15 years with SADI, our Director of Special Needs Services is beginning a new chapter. She started her journey with us as a CDS Case Manager and, through the years, grew into the leadership role of Director of Special Needs Services.

Her dedication, hard work, and the time she has invested in the individuals and families we serve have meant so much to our organization. We are incredibly grateful for the many years she has been part of the SADI team.

While she will be missed more than words can express, we are excited for her as she begins this next chapter and wish her nothing but happiness and success in all that lies ahead.

Thank you for nearly 15 years of being part of SADI. Once part of the SADI family, always part of the SADI family!❤️

🚗 Thank You for Joining Us for First Impact: Safe Driving 101! 🚦

A big thank-you to everyone who joined us last night for our First Impact: Safe Driving 101 for Parents & Teens event! We appreciate you taking the time to learn, ask questions, and invest in the safety of our young drivers.

As teens work through Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) process, ongoing conversations between parents and teens are so important. Learning the rules is just the beginning! Talking openly about safe driving habits, distractions, speeding, seat belts, peer pressure, and the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel helps teens build the knowledge and confidence they need to make safe decisions.

The conversation shouldn’t end when the class is over. Keep checking in, setting expectations, leading by example, and encouraging your teen to make safety a priority every time they get behind the wheel.

At SADI DriveAbility, we believe safe driving is an important part of independence. Together, we can help the next generation of drivers build safe habits that last a lifetime!

This week we are observing National Teen Driver Safety Week here at SADI!
Here are some ways SADI can help make your teen a successfully safe driver:
🚗 Pre-permit Courses (call SADI to set up your sessions today!)
🚗Summer Pre-ETS Classes (it’s not too early to plan for Summer 2027!)
🚗First Impact Safe Driving 101, happening tonight!! Parents and teens, come to SADI from 6-7:30pm to learn some great safe driving rules to prepare for permit and license!

Together we can create safer teen drivers in our communities!

Today is the start of National Teen Driver Safety Week! 🚗💛
Running October 18–24, this week is dedicated to raising awareness about teen driver safety and the risks young drivers face on the road. From buckling up and staying focused to obeying speed limits and avoiding impaired driving, every decision matters. Let’s work together to encourage safer driving habits, support our teen drivers, and help make our roads safer for everyone.
