Psi Eta Zeta Chapter: AlwayZ working towards Achievement Charged with upholding the doctrines, beliefs and views of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Psi Eta Zeta Graduate Chapter was chartered in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in March of 2010. Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood – the five Charter Members immediately began to work within the Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas by engaging in community service and working alongside of individuals who also cared about improving their surroundings and the lives of those within the community. For over a decade, Psi Eta Zeta chapter members have upheld the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. tradition of promoting Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood and continues to be that community conscious, action-oriented service organization, fulfilling the goals of our Five Founding Pearls - Arizona Cleaver, Myrtle Tyler, Viola Tyler, Fannie Pettie and Pearl Neal. Working from just a blueprint, four determined women ventured out to lay the initial groundwork and began what later, many would eventually join, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., - Psi Eta Zeta Chapter – 'AlwayZ working towards Achievement' in serving our great Cape Girardeau and the surrounding areas. Many thanks and much loves to those five Chartered Sorors. Carmelia Hudson (Coney) - Chapter President

Some things are worth passing down. Harm isn’t one of them. 🔥💙

Finer Women Don’t Haze x National Hazing Prevention Week 2026 is officially here, and this year’s message is clear:

Pass the Torch, Not the Trauma.

We can honor our history without repeating harmful practices. From our newest members to our most seasoned Sorors, each of us has a responsibility to protect the Sisterhood and help shape what comes next.

This week, we’re making space for real conversations around accountability, safety, respect, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

So, Sorors, the torch is in our hands.

🔥 What will you choose to pass forward?

Today, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors the legacy and uplifts the men of Iota Phi Theta, as they celebrate their 63rd Anniversary.

Since its founding in 1963, the brown and gold have stood as a beacon of fortitude, purposefully built to advocate for the rights of our people and champion social and economic justice for the overlooked and underserved.

Born out of a pivotal moment in history, Iota became a movement. At Morgan State University, twelve visionary founders: Albert Hicks, Lonnie Spruill, Jr., Charles Briscoe, Frank Coakley, John Slade, Barron Willis, Webster Lewis, Charles Brown, Louis Hudnell, Charles Gregory, Elias Dorsey, Jr., and Michael Williams - united around a shared commitment to maturity, community, and civic engagement. Refusing to be mere spectators, they became architects of change.

Official Announcement

It is with sincere regret that the Psi Eta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, announces the cancellation of the 2026 Leaders Lead Annual Brunch scheduled for August 8, 2026.

After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the event due to low ticket sales. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to gather as planned, we believe that exercising wisdom and good stewardship is the best decision at this time.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this event, purchased tickets, shared our promotional materials, and encouraged our efforts. Your support has meant more than words can express.

Most importantly, we want our honorees to know how deeply we appreciate their leadership, service, and commitment to our community. Although the brunch has been canceled, we remain committed to ensuring that each honoree receives the recognition they so richly deserve.

Refunds will be issued to everyone who purchased tickets. Additional information will be provided soon.

Thank you for your understanding, your continued support, and your unwavering dedication to service.
