Cape Girardeau County Rotary Club — Service Above Self
The Cape Girardeau County Rotary Club is more than an organization. It is a fellowship of dedicated men and women from different professions, backgrounds, and walks of life who share a common purpose: to serve others, strengthen our communities, build lasting friendships, and make a positive difference locally and internationally.
Every Wednesday, we gather not simply to conduct business, but to strengthen relationships, share laughter, exchange ideas, encourage one another, and discover new opportunities to serve. Around our tables are individuals who understand that true leadership is not measured by titles or recognition, but by the willingness to invest in the lives of others.
Our Rotary Club reflects the very heart of Rotary International’s guiding principle, “Service Above Self.” Whether supporting local community projects, helping meet the needs of families, investing in future generations, or contributing to humanitarian efforts around the world, our members recognize that meaningful change begins when ordinary people come together with an extraordinary commitment to serving others.
One of the greatest strengths of our club is its people. These are men and women who willingly give their time, talents, resources, and experience without expecting anything in return. They understand that serving others is not simply something we do occasionally. It is part of who we are.
What makes our Wednesday gatherings especially meaningful is the fellowship. Friendships are formed, experiences are shared, and relationships grow beyond the walls of our meeting place. We celebrate accomplishments, encourage one another through challenges, and enjoy the simple privilege of being together.
It is an honor to serve alongside these remarkable men and women, and an even greater privilege to call them friends.
The Cape Girardeau County Rotary Club is a reminder that we do not have to change the entire world by ourselves. We simply need to be willing to make a difference wherever we are, with whatever resources we have, one person, one family, one community, and one act of service at a time.
We are neighbors. We are friends. We are community servants. We are Rotarians.
Service Above Self — Not Just a Motto, But a Way of Life.
