As September comes to a close, so does Su***de Prevention Awareness Month — but our commitment to prevention, connection, and hope continues every day of the year.
We keep talking about mental health.
We keep listening without judgment.
We keep checking on the people around us.
We keep connecting people with resources and support.
And we keep reminding one another that there is hope and help is available.
Sometimes making a difference starts with something as simple as asking, “Are you okay?” — and taking the time to truly listen to the answer.
Our Su***de Prevention Awareness Displays across Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve counties will remain up through October 5, so there is still time to stop by, reflect, and help us continue spreading the message.

💜🩵 Su***de Prevention Awareness: You Matter 🩵💜
Have you had a chance to visit one of CCC’s Su***de Prevention Awareness Displays yet?
We placed displays across all five counties we serve — in Cape County at CCC's main office on S. Silver Spring, in Bollinger County at Harp's, in Madison County at The Station, in Perry County across from Stonies and Hoeckele's near the water tower, and in Ste. Genevieve at MRV Bank — as visible reminders of hope, connection, and the importance of starting conversations about su***de prevention and mental health.
And there’s still time to see them! 💜
Our displays will remain up through October 5.
If you’re near one, we encourage you to stop by, take a moment to read the message, reflect, and maybe even share something that speaks to you. Most importantly, carry the message with you:

Voices of Hope: Purpose in Every Stage

Our Su***de Prevention Awareness Month campaign continues today with a creative and inspiring message shared by Robyn Smith, Peer Support Team Leader, CPS, MARS.

Robyn shares this uplifting reminder: "Broken crayons still color!"

Even when we experience brokenness, hardships, or deep challenges in life, our value, creativity, and unique contributions do not disappear. This message serves as a comforting reminder that healing is possible and that everyone has a purpose, exactly as they are.If you or someone you know is navigating a difficult time, please remember that support is always within reach and you never have to walk alone.
