⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 What a fantastic Game 1 of the World Cup! Now we're ready for Game 2 in tonight!

While our local Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services USA team was busy supporting and feeding our incredible emergency management partners, we had the unexpected pleasure of crossing paths with some enthusiastic Scottish fans! 🇺🇸🤝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Between serving meals, sharing stories, and soaking in the excitement, it was a great reminder that community brings people together—whether you're coordinating emergency response efforts or cheering on your favorite team from across the globe.

A big thank you to our emergency management partners for all they do, and to our new Scottish friends for bringing plenty of energy, smiles, and World Cup spirit!

As mourners gathered for the funeral of Robert Kilduff Jr., the Boston firefighter who died over Memorial Day weekend, our Salvation Army teams were on the sidelines feeding thousands of meals to first responders who came out to show their respect.

The service for Kilduff was held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston's South End, just steps from The Salvation Army Boston South End. The doors of our Corps Community Center were open to those in attendance.

Every heart in Boston feels his loss. Today we honor a firefighter whose selfless courage and dedication helped protect countless lives. Thousands of mourners gathered, just steps from The Salvation Army Boston South End, for the funeral of Robert "BK" Kilduff Jr., the veteran Boston firefighter who died May 23 while working to extinguish a Dorchester blaze. BK was an active member of his community who always made sure his brothers and sisters in uniform got home safe. The Salvation Army Disaster Services, Massachusetts Division were truly honored to be able to be pay tribute to BK and other first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. It was a privilege to open our doors along today's procession and serve those who keep us safe. May God Bless BK, the Boston Fire Department, and everyone who puts their lives on the line each day to help others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and colleagues of Boston firefighter Robert Kilduff, Jr., who was killed while battling a fire in the city's Dorchester neighborhood. Kilduff, a 24-year veteran of the Boston Fire Department, fell from the third story of a home during a three-alarm blaze on May 23. Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services USA teams from Boston will show their respect and be on site to help with feeding at tomorrow’s funeral in the South End. Every day firefighters like BK put their lives at risk to help others and they also volunteer their time to give back to help their communities. We are so grateful to them for their service. 🙏

Free menstrual care makes a difference for those who rely on our support. Too often, women and girls are forced to go without menstrual care, miss school, use products longer than recommended, or even resort to unsafe alternatives like socks or rags-just to make ends meet. At The Salvation Army and with our partners at Dignity Matters, we believe that no one should have to make these choices.

We are committed to standing beside our neighbors through this tragedy and helping however we can. ❤️ The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services USA team is on-site at a Recovery Resource Center for residents who were displaced by this week's devastating 7-alarm fire at the Juniper Road condo complex in North Attleboro. The Salvation Army is providing vouchers, food, essential supplies, and support resources to displaced residents and families as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding. Our hearts are with everyone who was impacted. During times like these, no one should have to face recovery alone.

Thank you to Jersey Mike's Subs and Chick-fil-A for their generous donations.
