We welcome Takaaki Itoh, one of the most influential figures to emerge from Japan’s underground techno scene. Active since the early 1990s, Itoh was drawn into techno through artists like Jeff Mills and the music arriving in Japan from Detroit and Europe, beginning as a promoter in northern Japan before developing his own language as a DJ and producer. Over three decades, that language has remained intensely focused: dark, cerebral, atmospheric techno shaped by hypnotic repetition, intricate percussion, and a constant sense of moving into unknown territory. His catalog spans dozens of releases, including the enduring Killing All Anarchists, while his label Wols serves as an extension of the musical identity he has spent his career refining. From Berghain to clubs and festivals across more than 20 countries, Itoh’s influence reaches far beyond Japan while remaining firmly rooted in the underground.

Opening the night is Sammy, whose patient approach behind the decks favors atmosphere, tension, and fluid progression. Her carefully considered selections build gradually, setting the foundation for the night ahead.

Closing is Infra resident LOLAXVA, a Boston-based DJ and producer exploring dark, expansive energy through instinct and an evolving cultivation of sound. Rooted in beatmaking before finding her way into electronic music, her sets move between the majestic and the mental, unfolding as introspective journeys where emotion and momentum take over in an honest and powerful way.

For this collaboration, we connect with Under Club, a cornerstone of Buenos Aires’ underground techno culture. For more than a decade, the club has built a distinct identity around the connection between artist and dancefloor, while maintaining strong ties to the wider international scene.

Headlining is Mariano DC, a central figure in Argentina’s techno history with a career spanning more than two decades. A longtime resident of Cocoliche and regular presence at Under Club, his work has also taken him to Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor, and beyond. Through Enux Records and his own productions, he continues to shape a raw, driving vision of techno.

Opening the night is Mr. Tron, the Argentina-born, Miami-based DJ, producer, and label curator Nicolas Troncoso. His stripped-back approach to minimal and techno, paired with precise mixing and years of experience in Miami’s underground, sets the tone for the night ahead.

Closing is Infra resident Meschwitz, a Bolivia-born, Boston-based DJ known for restrained pacing, fluid transitions, and a careful command of tension, carrying the room through the final hours with a patient and immersive approach.

This excerpt from their documentary offers a glimpse into the people, philosophy, and history behind a club that has become deeply woven into the fabric of Buenos Aires’ electronic music scene.

That history comes to Boston with Mariano DC, a central figure in Argentine techno and a regular presence at Under Club, headlining the night. Closing the night is JAKE BACK, the Los Angeles-based artist, producer, and DJ known for his experimental spirit and versatility across genres.
