West Broadway Neighborhood Association (South Boston) Welcome to the West Broadway Neighborhood Association. Neighbors creating a Neighborhood We invite you to join us! WHAT DO WE DO? That’s us.

2005 the West Broadway Neighborhood Association, a non-profit organization, has acted as a unified voice to represent the concerns and interests of all its residents. We inform and respond to issues and events effecting our neighborhood and seek ways to improve the overall quality of life in the area. The West Broadway Neighborhood Association(WBNA) meets monthly to discuss issues involving our ar

ea. Members work with the Boston Planning and Development Agency on large scale developments to review positive and negative impacts on the community and how to balance out these impacts. Have you seen the gardens at the base of the Broadway Bridge and the West 4th Street Bridge, and gardens along Foundry Street? All these gardens were established, paid for, and are maintained by our members. Please consider becoming a member of the WBNA. Send your contact information to [email protected] so we can welcome you to the neighborhood.

Hey Neighbors,
Welcome our new neighbor!

South Boston is gearing up for a wonderful addition to our West Broadway neighborhood, and we couldn't be more excited to share the news. Our very own John Gillespie, a dedicated neighbor and long-time supporter of the South Boston community, is opening a brand-new Dunkin’ location at 11 Broadway. This latest endeavor promises to bring the same quality and service we have come to expect from the Gillespie family.

John Gillespie has long been a fixture in South Boston, known not just as a successful entrepreneur but as a deeply engaged community member. Over the years, and during the course of his latest offeringJohn has worked tirelessly with local residents, civic organizations, and various community groups to ensure that new developments enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood. His history as a responsible and thoughtful business owner is well-established, and we can expect nothing less from this new store in the West Broadway neighborhood.

In fact, John has been in close contact with the local civic group regarding this opening. Their feedback has been incredibly positive, and they have shared that the community feels this location will be well-served by the new store, providing a convenient and welcome spot for neighbors to gather.

Adding to the excitement, this truly is a family affair. John is thrilled to announce that his daughter, Kristen, will be stepping into the role of day-to-day operations manager. She is eager to connect with all of you, and she is looking forward to making this shop a central part of the community’s daily routine.

The grand opening is set for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 5:30 a.m. We encourage everyone to stop in, grab a coffee, and say hello. Let’s show them a warm South Boston welcome and celebrate this fantastic new addition to our community. We look forward to seeing you there.

A big shout-out and thank you to our City of BostonParks & Recreation Department for their quick response in replacing the flowers in our neighborhood planters. The previous plantings had struggled in the intense sun and heat, and the team responded immediately with beautiful new summer flowers.

The WBNA truly appreciates the care, attention, and pride they take in keeping our community looking its best. Thank you for your continued efforts to make our neighborhood a more welcoming and vibrant place for everyone! 🌸🌼🌺

A big thank you to State Senator
Nick Collins and MassDOT for helping to improve the look of the Dorchester Avenue bridge over Haul Road.

The WBNA has been actively working with the appropriate entities to have this unsightly utility pipe covered, making this busy corridor much more attractive for residents and visitors walking through the area.

Thank you for continuing to invest in our community!
