West Broadway Neighborhood Association (South Boston)

West Broadway Neighborhood Association (South Boston) Welcome to the West Broadway Neighborhood Association. Neighbors creating a Neighborhood We invite you to join us! WHAT DO WE DO? Thatโ€™s us.

2005 the West Broadway Neighborhood Association, a non-profit organization, has acted as a unified voice to represent the concerns and interests of all its residents. We inform and respond to issues and events effecting our neighborhood and seek ways to improve the overall quality of life in the area. The West Broadway Neighborhood Association(WBNA) meets monthly to discuss issues involving our ar

ea. Members work with the Boston Planning and Development Agency on large scale developments to review positive and negative impacts on the community and how to balance out these impacts. Have you seen the gardens at the base of the Broadway Bridge and the West 4th Street Bridge, and gardens along Foundry Street? All these gardens were established, paid for, and are maintained by our members. Please consider becoming a member of the WBNA. Send your contact information to [email protected] so we can welcome you to the neighborhood.

Great meeting our friends from MassDOT District 6. Kevin and Kerife were so happy to let us know they would be painting the bridge by the police station on W Broadway over Haul Road. Thank you so much! We appreciate the 4 bridges you painted with such a cheerful approach as well! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Hey Age Strong Neighbors,

Ballroom Dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ•บ

Have you ever dreamed of gliding across the dance floor like Fred Astaire or dancing salsa to the music of Celia Cruz? Now's your chance!

Join dance instructor Jon Smalls for a fun and welcoming introduction to ballroom dance. Whether you're completely new to dancing or looking to refresh your skills, you'll learn the basics of several popular dance styles while building confidence, staying active, and connecting with others.

Come as you are and enjoy learning new steps to great music in a supportive and social environment.

Participants should be prepared for light physical activity. Ballroom dance is rooted in natural walking movements and can be adapted to a variety of mobility levels. Throughout the series, Jon will assess the comfort and abilities of the group and adjust each class so everyone can participate at their own pace.

What You'll Learn
Over this eight-week series, participants will explore the fundamentals of several ballroom and social dances, including:

Waltz
Foxtrot
Salsa
Cha Cha

The class may also spend additional time on favorite dances or explore other styles based on participant interest.

This class series is brought to you by the City of Boston's Age Strong Commission and made possible through the support of Goddard House's Creative Aging Connections program.
