The 2026 ROTC Joint Commissioning Ceremony was a moving celebration of achievement where cadets and midshipmen were commissioned into United States Army, Navy, Air Force and Space Force as military officers, surrounded by family, friends, mentors, and colleagues.

Lieutenant General (ret) Rich Clark gave an inspiring speech on the importance of upholding our values through action: to live honorably, lift others, and elevate performance.

Congratulations and thank you for your service!

Tonight, it was an honor to explore a curated selection of portraits of Harvard community members in a mini-installation featuring Bridge Builders from the Harvard Foundation Portraiture Project. We were delighted to have the portraitist, Stephen Coit ‘71 and one of our esteemed subjects, Mr. David Evans at our reception. Guests had the opportunity to engage with the stories of the portrait subjects through conversation with our student docents while enjoying light refreshments on this, the last day of classes for Spring 2026.

These portraits are ordinarily displayed across Harvard’s campus but came come together for this brief installation curated to celebrate individuals who have built bridges by shaping and serving the Harvard College community.

📸 Many thanks to Dustin Weyand for the photos and to our partners at the Office for the Arts at Harvard ( ) and the Harvard Art Museums ( ) for their generous support in bringing this event together.

Celebrating Earth Week through food 🌱✨

We had an amazing time at our hands-on cooking class with the Harvard Foundation x Food Literacy Project! From lentil tacos to comforting daal, plus savory cakes and elevated toast, we explored just how versatile (and sustainable!) plant-forward cooking can be.

Whether you joined as a beginner or a seasoned cook, this space was all about learning, experimenting, and building community around food. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made this such a warm, energizing Earth Week gathering 💚

Yesterday evening, the Harvard Foundation welcomed students to the FGLI Journeys Dinner Conversation featuring Dr. Jaein Lee, Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, for an intimate space of reflection, dialogue, and community centered on the experiences of first-generation and/or low-income students in higher education.

Drawing on her research on first-generation, low-income immigrants, Dr. Lee shared thoughtful insights on navigating higher education, overcoming challenges, and building institutional practices that better support FGLI students.
Thank you to Dr. Lee and all who joined us for this powerful evening of conversation and community. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue creating spaces that uplift the journeys of FGLI students across campus.
