Kesem Harvard Undergraduate Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. "

Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem Harvard Undergraduate was founded in 2017 and supports children in the greater Boston community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 50 student volunteers and serves 60 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.

For those of you who don’t know what Kesem is, we are Harvard’s chapter of the national Kesem nonprofit that supports kids through and beyond a parent’s cancer. Our main program is a free, week-long summer camp to help these kids feel like kids again! We also organize fundraising events, camper reunions, and social events for our counselors.
