Abraham’s Table #2 | One Creator: Many Paths, Finding Common Ground

Yesterday, we gathered at ISGM in Hopkinton for our second Abraham’s Table, graciously hosted by the MetroWest Interfaith Community.

We are grateful to our speakers Rabbi Mimi Micner, Moni Mahl, Siri Karam Khalsa, Imam Shaykh Yasir, Abigail Johnson, and Paula Haas for sharing their perspectives and experiences. Special thanks to Fr. Carl Chudy and Dr. Shahida Balaparya, the MetroWest Interfaith Community, our partners, volunteers, and everyone who joined us.

One participant beautifully described interfaith gatherings like Abraham’s Table as a “spiritual gas station," a place where we can reconnect, recharge with love, peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding, and return to our communities with renewed energy and hope.

📅 Next Abraham’s Table:
Sunday, November 22 | 4:00–6:00 PM
📍 Jack Satter House, Revere

We look forward to continuing to build bridges, strengthen relationships, and bring our communities together.

Turkish Coffee Tasting – Brew, Serve, Connect at Woburn Public Library!

We had a wonderful time today at Woburn Public Library for “Turkish Coffee Tasting – Brew, Serve, Connect,” sharing the rich tradition of Turkish coffee with our local community!

The program was fully booked, with a waiting list, reflecting the wonderful interest in Turkish culture. Participants explored the history of Turkish coffee, learned about its unique preparation and serving traditions, and, of course, enjoyed freshly prepared Turkish coffee together.

It was wonderful to see how a cup of coffee can bring people together, spark conversations, and create opportunities for cultural exchange and connection.

The program was organized by the Peace Islands Institute Boston Art & Culture Committee. Our heartfelt thanks go to our dedicated volunteers for their time, effort, and warm hospitality in making this program possible.

A special thank you to Woburn Public Library for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us and made the program such a warm and memorable experience!

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11 and honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown in the face of tragedy.
