This year at Hike on the D**e, we will honor Paul Greenlee, a pillar of our community and a supporter of WCGHS, and particularly Hike on the D**e. We created a team anyone can join on our event website called Paul's Pack. We would encourage you and the members of your organization to consider joining Paul's Pack as a walker and/or fundraiser. The team with the most members and the top fundraising team will be awarded trophies at the event. Wouldn't it be wonderful to honor Paul in this way?

We appreciate your support and hope you can attend and/or participate to help us raise much-needed funds for the animals in our community.

So what is the Community Chest?

Community Chests are fundraising organizations that collect donations from local businesses, workers, and residents and distribute them to other local nonprofits.
The Camas-Washougal Community Chest was formed in 1946 to coordinate fundraising for local nonprofits and we are still going strong! The CWCC is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and in recent years, we’ve been able to distribute over 97% of donations back to the community. We require grant recipients to provide services within the Camas-Washougal area, submit reports on how grant funds were used, and be involved with education, youth education, health and welfare, natural resource conservation, aiding those with special needs, crisis and emergency services, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or other charitable and civic endeavors.
