Skeeter is our unofficial mascot. He sits on this table the entire time his mama is staffing the event. He doesn’t bark or even consider jumping from this perch. He is the gentlest soul. Our guard dog. Our greeter. And everyone’s friend. He is a Cavalier King Charles and Lhasa Apso mix.

What a wonderful opening day for this weekend’s 📚sale! We sure appreciate the love and support that flooded our doors all-day.

We are ready to do it all again tomorrow too. Friday 10AM-6PM.

Saturday 10AM-6PM (FYI - The streets of Camas will be packed for the annual 🪴Plant & Garden Fair🪴—it’s awesome! Give yourself plenty of time to park and shop.)

Sunday 12-4PM The LAST DAY of our sale is special because we want all our books to find a good home so—this day only—you can bring your own bag and fill it for $5!

It’s National Volunteer Week?!

Yep! And Volunteers are NEEDED.

Opportunities Available:

🎬Set up: Wednesday, May 6th, 4-6:30PM
17 volunteer spots available

🛍️Staff Book Sale: Thursday, May 7-10th, 2-hr shifts ranging from 10AM-6PM. Responsibilities include keeping the books looking orderly and when needed to restock as space opens.
8 volunteer spots available

📦Clean up: Monday, May 11th, 4-6:30PM
17 volunteer spots available

📖The perk: for every 2 hrs volunteered, you earn $5 in credit towards books for yourself. For shameless book nerds, like me?

We’ve been told our little library is pretty special and we wholeheartedly agree! Not only is the architecture historically beautiful, the staff lovely, volunteers delightful—it’s the community that adores and supports it with donated books, which makes the Camas Public Library thrive!

Your recycled-reads helps support programming at our library.

Not only do we at the Friends and Foundation of the Camas Library host multiple book sales throughout the year, we re-stock the first floor Book Sale shelves each week.

Adult books $3
Teen & Children’s books $1
(Payment accepted via the cash box on the shelf or with card at the circulation desk.)

Here’s a list of items we happily accept at the circulation desk anytime you’re cleanin’ house:

Thank you so much for supporting our Blue Moon 🔵 sale! With your help we were able to raise just over $1,000! This revenue goes towards funding the Camas Public Library’s programming. It was wonderful to see everyone who came out.

Our next used book sale will coordinate with Mother’s Day weekend and the Downtown Camas Association’s 🪴Camas Plant & Garden Fair.🌻

The used 📚 book sale starts on Thursday, May 7th and ends Sunday the 10th.
