What an incredible way to wrap up our 2026
Skills for Teens Summer Tour!

Our final stop brought us to Rise Above Daily Ranch, where we had the privilege of spending the day with another amazing group of about 12 young people. This group may have been a little younger, but they were every bit as eager to learn. They jumped right into measuring, cutting, grinding, and welding, and before long they had created some fantastic American flag projects to proudly take home.

What we love most is seeing curiosity turn into confidence. Once the flags were
finished, several of the kids didn't want to stop! They immediately began asking to build more projects, creating crosses and other pieces while continuing to sharpen their new welding skills. Watching that excitement and creativity come to life is exactly why Skills for Teens exists.

As we reflect on the final days of our tour, we're overwhelmed with gratitude. At both Acres of Hope Ranch and Rise Above Daily Ranch, we experienced so much more than hosting welding workshops. We made lifelong friends. We were welcomed into homes with open arms, shared meals around the table, prayed together, laughed together, and witnessed firsthand the incredible love these organizations pour into the young people they serve every single day.

To everyone who opened your hearts, your homes, and your communities to us-thank you. Your kindness and hospitality will stay with our family long after this tour has ended.

And to every young person we had the privilege of teaching this summer: thank you for trusting us, working hard, asking questions, and believing in yourselves.
Whether welding becomes your career, your hobby, or simply a memory of trying something new, we hope you leave knowing you are capable of creating incredible things with your own two hands.

As our 2026 summer tour comes to a close, our hearts are full. We traveled thousands of miles, met extraordinary people, watched young lives gain confidence through skilled trades, and were reminded over and over that hope is built one relationship, one opportunity, and sometimes... one weld at a time.

Three stops down, and our Skills for Teens Summer Tour continues to exceed every expectation!

This week, we had the incredible privilege of spending the day at Acres of Hope Ranch in Independence, Oregon, where we worked with an amazing group of 13 young people. From the moment we started, it was clear this group had something special. They were eager to learn, quick to pick up new skills, and produced some of the best projects we've seen all summer!

One moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day was when one young lady completed an American flag that honestly surpassed our own example. She shared how excited she was to use welding as a new artistic medium, reminding us that skilled trades aren't just about building—they're also about creativity, self-expression, and discovering talents you never knew you had.

The day was filled with laughter, curiosity, teamwork, and a whole lot of sparks.
Watching these young people gain confidence with every cut, measurement, and weld is exactly why Skills for Teens exists. Every workshop is an opportunity to introduce youth to valuable STEM and Career & Technical Education skills while showing them that they are capable of creating something extraordinary with their own hands.

A heartfelt thank you to Justin and Emmy for welcoming us to Acres of Hope Ranch and helping make this opportunity possible. Your hospitality, support, and commitment to investing in these young people made this an unforgettable experience.

Another incredible stop on the Skills for Teens Summer Tour is in the books!

Today, we had the privilege of partnering with the Children's Home of Stockton and spending the day with an amazing group of transitional youth. Unlike many of our workshops, these young adults have recently graduated high school and are navigating the important next steps of adulthood while continuing to receive support and guidance through the program.

Throughout the day, participants learned valuable STEM and workforce skills as they measured, cut, assembled, and welded their own American flag projects from start to finish. They weren't just building a project-they were building confidence, problem-solving skills, and discovering talents they may not have known they had.

One of the most exciting moments of the day was hearing several participants express interest in pursuing welding and the skilled trades as a potential career path. Knowing that a single day of hands-on experience can spark interest in a future profession is exactly why Skills for Teens is so passionate about bringing these opportunities to youth who may not otherwise have access to them.

The fun wasn't limited to the students! We were honored to have Children's Home of Stockton Director Edith and several staff members roll up their sleeves and join in the experience. Their enthusiasm, encouragement, and willingness to participate alongside the youth created an atmosphere of support, teamwork, and community that made the day even more memorable.

A huge thank you to the Children's Home of Stockton for welcoming us and believing in the mission of empowering young people through skilled trades education. Watching these young adults learn, create, and begin envisioning new possibilities for their future was truly inspiring.

Two stops down, more lives to impact, and many more opportunities to create.

Our first stop on the 2026 Skills4Teens Summer Tour is officially in the books, and what an incredible experience it was!

This week, we had the privilege of working with the amazing young people at Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Mesa, Arizona. Throughout the program, students learned valuable STEM and Career & Technical Education skills as they measured, planned, cut, assembled, and welded their very own American flag project from start to finish.

Watching these teens step outside their comfort zones, learn new skills, solve problems, and take pride in creating something with their own hands was nothing short of inspiring. By the end of the day they weren’t just taking home a project-they were taking home confidence, experience, and exposure to a trade that could open doors for their futures.

At Skills4Teens our mission is simple: equip youth with real-world trade skills, helping them build confidence, independence, and opportunities for lifelong success.

A huge thank you to Sunshine Acres for welcoming us, and to every student who showed up ready to learn, work hard, and believe in themselves. You made this stop a smashing success.
