Wow! This is our 2yr anniversary and we are so excited for this amazing milestone. Big thank you to The United Veterans Council of East Tennessee, Inc., West End Baptist Church, and Veterans In Focus. Hat’s off to our crew… Rob Watkins, Anna Shamus Dorroh, and all the amazing volunteers. Another thank you to all the quilt artisians who make such beautiful quilts for our Veterans. Kylo has the energy of a 9month old puppy, even though he is 3 years old. Once that energy is controlled he will be an even better companion for a Veteran. Watching him battle through this last year and now seeing him shine during his training puts a big smile on us here at OT. We are excited for Kylo’s next chapter.

Kylo has left for Bootcamp. Since picking him up from a bad situation over a year ago he has battled severe ear infections, heartworm and a bad case of tapeworms. Fast forward to today, he is healthy and ready for a new chapter. Stay tuned for updates on his training… We want to thank Morristown Animal Hospital, P.C. for helping Kylo through his medical journey. Also, a big thank you to everyone who has donated to support Kylo’s medical expenses and care.

Our first Veteran breakfast for 2026 was a great success. Big thank you to West End Baptist Church for hosting. Also, a thank you to The United Veterans Council of East Tennessee, Inc., Veterans In Focus, and our amazing volunteers (Anna Shamus Dorroh). Quilts of Valor Parrottsville gifted three beautiful quilts to three well deserving Veterans. Can’t forget our amazing sponsor Snowbird Mountain Coffee Co. Last month the weather decided to get in the way, this month it looks like a 66° blue sky day this Saturday (February 28th). So come by and get a hot breakfast and enjoy the camaraderie here at the West End Baptist Church 0800-0930. Coffee served at 0800, thanks to Etmac - East Tennessee Military Affairs Council. Are you a Veteran? Do you have an appetite for breakfast? If so, you have 17 locations to choose from. The breakfast we host is on the last Saturday of each month 0800-0930 at the West End Baptist Church in Newport TN. Thanks to The United Veterans Council of East Tennessee, Inc. for having us on their team. Big thanks to Veterans In Focus, Anna Shamus Dorroh, and all the amazing volunteers who make each month enjoyable as we serve a warm meal to our Veterans and their guest. We look forward to many more in 2026.

Today is Giving Tuesday... We are still asking for help and donations for Kylo's heartworm treatment. Coffee money donations goes a long way to help raise the money for his treatment. We have raised just over $250 so far. The treatment cost is almost $1000. Please note on your donation where you would like the proceeds to go i.e Kylo's treatment, Mini Horses Care, Feed, and/or Veterans we are assisting. Thank you in advance and have a blessed day.

Luc the Goat was my co-pilot, we were on a special mission, and decided to road trip up to Greenville Tennessee. We were invited to visit the Army Reserve 733rd Engineering Company for their annual Christmas luncheon. The kids enjoyed hanging out with Luc, but I can say the adults enjoy it just as much. Thanks for having us!
