Meet our Board of Directors!

President: Jan Brooks

With over 28 years of experience in Home Health and Hospice, Jan Brooks has dedicated her life to compassionate care, advocacy, and community well-being. She has also served 24 years as a Newport Grammar School Board Member, championing educational access, student safety, and inclusive programs for all learners.

In addition to her education and healthcare leadership, Jan serves as an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for SMHHH and Medical Liaison for Cocke County EMA ensuring communities are equipped to respond effectively in times of crisis. Her commitment to public safety extends to her role as River Safety Assistant Chief, where she helps protect lives through prevention, training, and rapid response efforts.

Above all, Jan is proud to be a mother to Sydney and “Gigi,” to 3 beautiful grandchildren roles that ground her work in purpose, compassion, and generational impact. Her life reflects a deep commitment to service, leadership, and building safer, stronger communities.
