Center for Community Resources Connecting People to Essential Services
ccrinfo.org We connect over 64,000 people each year to supports and services.

Center for Community Resources (CCR) was created in 2002 to provide assistance to the community through a single point of contact. Today, CCR coordinates supportive services for individuals and families seeking information and referral for mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse and other human service needs. Our mission is to make a positive difference in everyday lives by connecting people to a network of supports and services essential for actively learning, working and living in the community. CCR provides Developmental Supports, Home and School Supports, Mental Health & Recovery Supports, Emergency Supports and Community Education & Assistance. In 2014-2015, CCR helped to bring back $2.8 million to the community through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. CCR was recently accredited by the Standards for Excellence Institute for successfully fulfilling the requirements of their Standards for Excellence program through the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO). This accreditation illustrates our commitment to upholding the principles and practices of the Standards for Excellence®: an Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector.

CCR’s Student Assistance Program (SAP) helps students navigate mental health, substance use, behavioral concerns, and grief. With parent or guardian consent, a CCR SAP Liaison can provide a free screening during school hours and work with your family to identify the next steps. Screening results are only reviewed with the student and family.

If additional support is needed, the SAP Liaison can connect your family with community resources, educational support groups, and other services that fit your child’s needs.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. CCR is here to help students and families find the support they need to move forward.

This service is available in Butler, Clarion, and Washington Counties.

This week, staff from CCR’s Supports Coordination program met with Deputy Secretary Kristin Ahrens and her team from the Office of Developmental Programs to share perspectives from the field and discuss performance-based contracting.

We highlighted our success in staff credentialing through Dual Diagnosis, LifeCourse Ambassador, and Enabling Technology Navigation courses, as well as our preparations for system changes coming in January 2027.

Thank you to Deputy Secretary Ahrens and her team for the opportunity to share CCR’s experience!
