As we move into the fall season, our Friday Morning Coffee Clubs continue to bring together professionals from across Butler County for great conversations, new connections, and plenty of coffee! 🤝☕

Here’s a look back at a special joint Coffee Club hosted in partnership with the Slippery Rock Business Association at Moraine Elementary School! 🏫
One of the highlights of the morning was getting a firsthand demonstration from the talented students of the Rock Solid Robotics Club! 🤖⚙️ It’s always exciting to see the creativity, innovation, and talent being developed right here in Butler County.

🏛️✨ SUNDAY SHOWCASE: The Maridon Museum ✨🏛️

You don't have to travel to a major city to experience a truly remarkable art collection—one of Western Pennsylvania's most unique cultural treasures is located right here in the heart of the Butler Cultural District!

This week's Sunday Showcase takes us to , the only museum in Western Pennsylvania specifically dedicated to Asian art and culture, complemented by an extraordinary collection of German Meissen porcelain. 🌏🎨

The story behind the Maridon makes it even more special.

The museum is the legacy of lifelong Butler resident Mary Hulton Phillips, whose passion for collecting Asian art began around 1967 when she discovered an ivory figurine of a Japanese woman at a Butler antiques show. What began with one piece grew over several decades into an incredible personal collection. Eventually, Mrs. Phillips decided that these treasures shouldn't remain hidden in a private collection—they should be shared with the community she called home. The Maridon officially opened its doors on May 8, 2004.

Today, its permanent collection includes more than 800 objects, including jade and ivory sculptures, tapestries, paintings, scrolls and artifacts—some dating all the way back to the Neolithic Period. The museum also houses approximately 300 pieces of Meissen porcelain, including works dating to the early 18th century. 🤯🏺

It's another reminder that we have some absolutely incredible places hiding in plain sight right here in Butler County.

Whether you're an art lover, history buff, educator, student, or simply looking for something different to experience, put the Maridon on your list. Bring your family, invite a friend, take a tour and spend some time exploring a collection that truly is unlike anything else in our region.

🐔✂️ It was our pleasure to officially welcome Chick-fil-A Mars to Adams Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania and the Mars community! ❤️

The Butler County Chamber of Commerce was excited to join local Owner-Operator Josh Grimm, his family, team members, community leaders, and partners for a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of this highly anticipated new addition along the Route 228 corridor! 🎉🎀

This opening is about much more than chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. 🍗🍟 It represents another significant investment in Butler County, approximately 100 new jobs, and a business committed to becoming an active part of the community it serves.

For Josh, it also represents a homecoming. After beginning his Chick-fil-A journey as a teenager in the Pittsburgh region and spending the last several years operating a location near Philadelphia, he and his family are back home in Western Pennsylvania—and ready to serve Butler County. 🏠❤️

We were especially excited to hear about the restaurant’s plans to support local schools and organizations, participate in programs addressing food insecurity, and invest in the growth and development of its team members. That commitment to people and community is exactly the kind of partnership we love to celebrate. 🤝🌟

And with Chick-fil-A’s legendary commitment to customer service, we have a feeling Butler County is going to be hearing “My pleasure!” quite a bit. 😊🐔
