If you’ve spent any time in Burton, chances are you’ve spotted Percy strutting down a street, hanging out in a tree, window shopping—or simply acting like he owns the place. (And honestly, he kind of does.)

🎉10+ YEARS IN THE MAKING… BURTON IS GETTING A NEW WELCOME!

For more than 10 years, the Burton Chamber of Commerce has been working toward a dream: a beautiful monument sign along Highway 290 that welcomes travelers to Burton and lets them know they’ve arrived somewhere worth discovering.

And that dream is becoming a reality. 🙌

Destination Burton could not be more excited!

This is so much more than a sign. It’s a WELCOME. It’s an invitation to turn off Highway 290, slow down, explore our little town, meet our people, shop our businesses, experience our history—and maybe stay awhile.

We are incredibly grateful to the Burton Chamber of Commerce and everyone who has worked, planned, dreamed and persevered for more than a decade to make this happen.

Destination Burton joins Burton Chamber of Commerce in honoring Carl’s legacy and send our deepest condolences to Rose and the Luning family.

The Burton Chamber of Commerce joins our community in expressing heartfelt condolences following the passing of Carl Luning, respected business owner and visionary behind Neon Moon Coffee. Carl’s dedication to excellence, his commitment to local enterprise, and his unwavering support of Burton made him a valued member of our business community and a trusted friend to many.
Carl exemplified the spirit of service and entrepreneurship. His leadership, kindness, and genuine care for others strengthened the fabric of our town and inspired those who had the privilege of knowing him. His contributions will remain an enduring part of Burton’s story.
We respectfully ask the community to keep his wife, Rose, and their family in your prayers during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the support of friends, neighbors, and all who were touched by Carl’s life and work.
