Foster home has been found, she will be available after she is vetted.

Imagine walking into a vet’s office, handing over this ADORABLE little puppy, and saying, “I don’t want her.” 🤦🏻‍♀️💔

I guess we should be grateful they brought her somewhere safe instead of leaving her behind, but now this sweet little girl needs a foster home or foster to adopt home. 🥺

They tell us she’s about 11 weeks old, 9 pounds, and a Pittie mix. She is absolutely PRECIOUS and deserves so much more than being unwanted.
I would LOVE to get her into a foster home so she can be spoiled, loved, and given the chance to grow up knowing what it feels like to be wanted. ❤️

If you’ve been thinking about fostering, THIS is your sign! 🐾 Need to be in NW Corner.

Please share and help us find this little peanut a foster or forever family! 🙏🏻❤️

🍷❤️ Meet Tipsy — the little girl who is waiting for someone to see just how special she really is. ❤️🍷

Don’t let her name fool you—Tipsy hasn’t had a drop to drink! She just happens to be a little wobbly on her feet, which is how she got her name. 😂

Tipsy is a 5-ish-year-old, 22-pound French Bulldog who is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she is close to her people. She loves attention, loves being included, and would happily spend her days curled up next to you, keeping you company.

But Tipsy is going to need something a little more special than the average dog.

She has some mobility quirks and incontinence, which means she may need diapers, extra clean-ups, and someone who is willing to give her the additional care she needs. We know that can sound like a lot. And honestly, it can be. But we also know that somewhere out there is a person who won't see a dog who is "too much work."

They'll see Tipsy. ❤️

They'll see the sweet little Frenchie who just wants to be loved.

They'll understand that sometimes love looks like changing a diaper. Sometimes it means cleaning up a mess without making her feel ashamed. Sometimes it means slowing down, making accommodations, and accepting that she may never be the perfectly healthy, carefree dog that someone else might be looking for.

And that's okay.

Because Tipsy doesn't need a perfect home.

She needs the right home.

She recently had a dental cleaning and is feeling much better with her sparkling smile. Her spay status is also a little uncertain—there is a possible spay scar, but it hasn't been 100% confirmed—so we'll continue monitoring her and may need to revisit that if she comes into heat.

Tipsy can also be selective about her canine friends. She has done best with smaller dogs and will need slow, thoughtful introductions to any potential roommates.

We know asking someone to take on a dog with extra needs is a big ask. But we've also seen time and time again that the dogs who need the most understanding can become the ones who mean the most.

Tipsy is looking for her person. Someone patient. Someone compassionate. Someone who doesn't expect perfection. Someone who will look at her little wobbly walk, her incontinence, her quirks and all her imperfections and say:

“Yep. She's mine. I'll take care of her." ❤️

If you think you might be that person for Tipsy, please reach out.

She has spent enough time needing someone. Now she deserves to know what it feels like to finally be home. 🏡❤️

We said we weren't taking in another medical case until we got caught up... and then we saw her. 💔

Please welcome the newest little soul to Westley's Wish K9 Rescue.

She was pulled from a local shelter today, and she's yet another heartbreaking example of what happens when profit is put before a dog's well-being. Another poorly bred "exotic" bully who deserved so much better.

She's scared, she's confused, and she has a large mass on her belly. We are praying it's a hernia and not a tumor, but right now we simply don't know. What we do know is that she needs veterinary care immediately.

The reality is... we need funds.

We are still trying to raise the funds for BeaBull's surgery, and now we've been handed another dog whose medical needs can't wait. We never want money to be the reason a dog doesn't get the care they deserve, but we can't keep saying "yes" without the support to back it up.

These dogs didn't ask to be bred this way. They didn't ask to be discarded when they became expensive or inconvenient. They didn't ask to suffer.

But they are asking for help now.

If every person who sees this post donated just $5 or $10, we could make a huge dent in BeaBull's surgery and start getting this precious little girl the diagnostics and treatment she desperately needs.

Please, if you can help, donate. If you can't, please share this post. Every share gives these dogs another chance to reach someone who can help.

They deserve so much more than the lives they've been given. Let's show them that people can be better than the ones who failed them. ❤️🐾

💙 Meet BeaBull 💙

Sometimes the dogs who need us most are the ones who have loved the longest.

BeaBull is a 12-year-old Bulldog who was recently surrendered to Westley's Wish after being found roaming through the woods of Naugatuck. By the time he came to us, this sweet senior was carrying the weight of years of untreated medical issues.

He arrived with severe ear infections, chronic untreated dry eye that had affected his vision, a painful skin infection, a mass near his a**s, and tumors in both testicles. Despite everything he had been through, BeaBull has remained nothing but gentle, trusting, and grateful for every bit of love he receives.

Yesterday was a big day for our handsome old man. ❤️ He underwent surgery to be neutered and have his mass removed. He's now on the road to recovery! His skin is healing, his fur is beginning to grow back, his ears are improving, and his eyes look so much brighter. While his vision has improved, he still occasionally bumps into things—but that doesn't stop his nub from wagging or his heart from loving.

The best part? BeaBull already has a wonderful family waiting for him. They are counting down the days until he's healthy enough to spend the rest of his life exactly as every senior dog deserves—safe, spoiled, comfortable, and deeply loved.

Now we need your help.

BeaBull's veterinary care has already reached approximately $1,500 and every donation—no matter the size—helps us continue saying "yes" to dogs like him. Senior dogs are so often overlooked, but they are just as deserving of a second chance.

If you'd like to help BeaBull begin this next chapter without the burden of medical debt, please consider making a donation. Every dollar goes directly toward his care and helps us continue rescuing dogs in need.

Thank you for believing that every dog, no matter their age, deserves a happy ending. ❤️🐾

🍷 Meet Tipsy! 🍷

Don't let the name fool you—Tipsy hasn't had a drop to drink! This adorable 5-ish-year-old French Bulldog is just a little wobbly on her feet due to some mobility quirks, but she gets around just fine and doesn't let it slow her down one bit.

At a petite 22 pounds, Tipsy is the perfect size for cuddling, snuggling, and supervising all your daily activities. She is incredibly sweet, loves attention, and is happiest when she's hanging out with her people.

Tipsy recently had a dental cleaning and is feeling much better with her sparkling smile. During her vet visit, a possible spay scar was discovered, though her spay status isn't 100% confirmed. We'll keep an eye on things and may need to revisit the issue if she comes into heat in the coming months.

When it comes to other dogs, Tipsy likes to be a little selective about her friends. She has done best with smaller dogs and would appreciate slow introductions to any potential canine roommates.

If you're looking for a lovable little Frenchie with a big heart, a charming personality, and just a touch of extra character, Tipsy may be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet girl and see why everyone falls in love with her!

Do you all remember this incredible survivor? Well in case you have forgotten about him, here he is in all his gloriously resilient glory! This is Simon, the ultimate comeback kid, who was found as a stray in pretty bad shape a few months back. He definitely came from a VERY VERY BAD situation. He was emaciated, covered in kennel sores, urine scalding, he was a hot mess. But, he has since made a full recovery! Poor Simon, even as adorable as he is, is a very uniquely bred American Bully mix. He is put together with his own special charm but he gets around fairly well for being so creatively assembled! As you can see in the pictures, even his face is a bit off and it is, Simon has a maloccluded jaw, we soak his food in water put in a slow feeder and he does great with eating that way. Simon also cannot handle the heat, he is an indoor lounging on the couch with the AC type of dog. Quick potty trips outside in the summer months or he will overheat extremely quickly. Simon needs to be the only dog in the home, he does not want to share his people. He is not reactive towards others outside the house. Not sure about cats & fine with kids over 13. He however does sn**ch treats and isn’t worried if he gets a bit of finger in there too (we are working very hard on that) He is fully vetted and ready to start his new life!
