Aldo Leopold Pheasants Forever Chapter

The Aldo Leopold Chapter of Pheasants Forever is a non-profit conservation organization based in Des Moines County, Iowa.

At the heart of Pheasants Forever is the unique grassroots system of fundraising and project development that allows members to see the direct result of their contributions. Pheasants Forever and its quail division, Quail Forever, empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent - the only national conse

rvation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers are able to see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy.

This year at the Iowa State Convention, our chapter received two special recognitions. The Conservation Excellence Award is given to chapters who have contributed $750,000 towards local habitat and conservation projects. Alongside several other chapters, we also received the 2024 Chapter of the Year Award. We are honored to receive these awards and would like to thank you all for your continued support. Without you, our efforts would not be possible.
